Correct. Ember & Ashe's spells did not penetrate the field, Mr Mui's boots are not penetrating the field, but Mercury & the other girl were able to reach their 1/2 topless arms through the field. It looks like some things can go through it, but other things can't.

Sam's turn, he also took 15 fire from starting adjacent to the Flaming Sphere.

I think it should have been 1d4+16 fire damage

Mercury will take that too on her turn.

Move: Shadow Step Northwest of Jeff, if that's 4 squares, otherwise to his North.
Free: Shroud the guy closest to me to the West of me.
Standard: Executioner's Noose on him, not triggering Shroud.

Executioner's Noose is with your x-bow, right? Blade teleports 4 to just N of Telgarth, then throws a shroud on Sam Mui then 15+6=21 exactly hit Fort for 1 (1d6)+ 6 dex= 7 force damage. (+4 fire from last round)

Mercury's turn and she takes 16 fire at the start of her turn, and for her move & minor actions, she teleports to prone on the higher stage. She then tries to beguile Ashe and 17+14 -2 prone=29 v will hit for 8 psychic damage then 2ndary attack 3+13-2 prone=14 miss, couldn't command Ashe this round. You think she's about to recommence feeding the statue next round...

    Angel's turn, then Telgarth...

If I move a square or two North could I get in range 5 of Mercury? If not who am I within 5 to? In order the second female on stage with a gun, Sam, anyone else.

Ember, yes I'll stay close enough to protect you. Or at least keep some of the Vampires off you.

No. Mercury is now 6 W of you, the girl is 5 W of you, and Sam is 4 W of you. Moving N/S won't get you closer to any of them. Angel is 3 W of you.

    Angel's turn:

Minor: use the boots to shift 2 1NW+1N (assuming Mr Mui got pulled away...)

Free: Smile at the camera and flex my muscles showing off my zodiac tatoo

Standard: use Twin Strike on the statue (FoB on each hit, property from Ki Focus)

Note: can you coup de grace an object? If so I'll use Twin Stike to CdG and get extra critical dice

    If the statue is destoyed...
Move: use Lion's Den movement to shift 1NE and +1 to defenses

AP: use encounter power Scattering of Leaves movement to jump east

If the statue is still intact after Twin Strike I'll need to revise my move and AP.

    Scattering of Leaves [Movement Technique]
    Encounter Full Discipline, Psionic
    Move Action Personal

Effect: You make an Athletics check to jump with a +5 power bonus. You are considered to have a running start, and the distance of the jump isn’t limited by your speed.

Some questions, is any one on stage bloodied? Does Sam's sword look super special? Does the formerly topless girl w/ gun look like she's extra special?

Is the plan to run for it now? I figure we're giving up at least three sets of armor and a sword.

    And a pair of boots.

YES, in your face Sam!!! Angel also flips him off...

Note: I don't think I need to remove the Ki Focus:
Monks usually channel their psionic energy through an item called a ki focus, which is a wooden practice weapon, prayer beads, a manual of lore, or some other object a monk studies or uses during training or meditation. After you attune yourself to a ki focus, you can use it as an implement when it is on your person (see the “Ki Focuses” sidebar).

When you wear or hold your ki focus, you can add its enhancement bonus to the attack rolls and the damage rolls of monk powers and monk paragon path powers that have the implement keyword. You can also add its enhancement bonus to the attack rolls and the damage rolls of weapon attacks you make using a weapon with which you’re proficient.

If the fist attack with Twin Strike destroys the statue, then I'll use my second on the prone Mr Mui.

If I still have my move I'll shift and jump as listed preveiously. Otherwise I'll jump from my current position. I should still make it easily, but provoke an AoO from Mr. Mui. He'll be at -2 for being prone and I'll be at +2 (+2 from armor while bloodied).

AP: I'll use Scattering of Leaves movement from my current position.

Monks usually channel their psionic energy through an item called a ki focus, which is a wooden practice weapon, prayer beads, a manual of lore, or some other object a monk studies or uses during training or meditation.

prayer beads usually worn around the wrists, and I envision them as wrist wraps. Since it's undesignated exactly what it is, I'm going to say you needed a move action to remove them, or else mundane gloves or the like, but if you want to declare it a specific item, after this it'll be considered as such.

Can't take the 2nd twin strike on Mr Mui since he was shifted, but you can on the girl, but you rolled a modified '9' anyway, still miss.

Angel uses an AP and after a gesture towards the boss, uses Scattering of Leaves and 14+15=29 jump check and easily standing jumps from where is is to 5 squares away to the other side of the blood pool. Angel provokes 2 AoOs (Sam & girl with gun). Sam 1+13=14 miss, but the girl 17+11=28 hit for 14 hits. Angel has 1 hp left, but back on the other side with the others.

Only Angel, but he's not over there anymore. Arcana check (minor action) to know about Sam's sword, with a penalty for distance. Trained only insight check to know about the girl. You can probably guess about Sam's sword though, and you know the gun girl took 5 sunlight damage last round and is not anywhere close to bloodied.

Note: Sam is almost bloodied (& prone) and isn't regenerating.

During my last move I shifted NW+N which should put me directly east of the statue.

It looks like the girl is 2 south of the statue... I didn't think she'd get an attack on me. Is she adjacent to the statue?

Minor action on your turn for insight, but you know they all have neck wounds and about 60 are dead, which is 2/3 of the requirements for being sired as a Vampire. Whether or not they fed off a Vampire too, you don't know, but it's likely. The live ones are either fine, or disguised & planted previously turned Vampires.

For you, yes & no on ease of freeing captives. The shackles look fairly simple, DC15 theivery check, but each lock is to 3 people shackled to a common post (some of which are dead already). There is no single lock that frees everyone. They might appreciate at least your TP&T though...

Oh. I misread your post moved you NW then W, thinking you wanted to be away from the flaming sphere. Didn't know you were going to use an AP too.

In that case, your 2nd twin strike does miss Mr Mui & not the girl, and Angel still is at 15 hits.

Telgarth casts 'Abjure Undead' on the Vampiress with the gun on the stage and 1+6+2=9 v will miss. Full damage is 30, but you think she took more than 1/2 that on the miss. That and the sunlight damage is not close to bloodying her. Telgarth has a free pull, then his move & minor actions left, then the Vamps turn...

Oh, full damage for Telgarth is 32, not 30. I forgot to add in his new symbol damage, but remembered on the to-hit. 1/2 damage is an extra 1 hit on the almost fresh Vamp that, while immobilized next turn, is also the only baddie in the room with a ranged attack besides Mercury...

If I run and then move am I still at a minus? How difficult is it to jump over the stools/would that speed up my movement?

    pending the answer

On my turn I will attempt to free some of the chained captives. I will concentrate on groups of living ones chained vs single live ones chained to groups of dead.

I believe running means you provoke CA & are -5 to attacks until the end of your next turn. Jumping is as per the PHB. Angel had running starts to both of his jumps (1x at +5). You would be attempting a standing jump (horizontal though, not vertical), which is harder than Angel's jumps.

Very heroic move if the party survives... it's a ways until your next turn though as only 1 1/2 PCs have gone since your last turn.

The last map was right after your last turn and is only missing your pull of Mr Mui and Angel's turn. It is cumbersome to post a new map after each PC's actions, so I'm shooting for every other PC action. As soon as Telgarth finishes his turn I'll post a new map since the Vamps go next and that'll change everything anyway...

You two are definitely the biggest targets. God 'Slayer' is a stretch though... you basically just delayed his flight a while. That still makes you the #1 target & the sunsword wielder #2 though...

I take it then you didn't want to pull the gun girl...

Telgarth moves full, including an AP towards the door.

Before the Vamps go, Sam yells at them, "Bring me dead Slayer bodies!! They may have disrupted the ritual, but we can still start the "Great Harvest" if we can show them to the Mayor!"

    Vamps go...

Telgarth dodges a bullet and is still up as 2 Vamps move to flank and a 3rd moves in close (they're still attacking very cautiously). One of them 4+13+2 flanking =19, barely miss, the other 15+13+2 flanking 30 hit, for 14 damage +8 flurry. The minions do necrotic, but this is all unnamed damage. Telgarth is still up, but bloodied with 6 hits.

Ember has 2 Vamps attack her with a 3rd in close and also dodges a bullet (if she uses an interrupt). First Vamp 8+13=21 hit for 15 +8 flurry, the 2nd 18 +13=31 hit for 12 +8 flurry. If she doesn't have an interrupt, or can't use it, she is down at -14 hits and dead is at -15.

2 Vamps attack Angel, and because of their Vampiric shift/attack, they zoom right in with no AoO from Ashe (unless some special power from shifting). first Vamp 8+13=21, your AC keeps changing, but I think that's a hit? If so 8+8 flurry and Angel is down. If not, 14+13=27 for sure hit for 15 +8 flurry. Angel is either merely down at -8 or dead.

2 Vamps attack Ashe (2 Vamps in reserve NE of Ashe & Angel) and again, one misses. 17+13=30, 7+13=20, hit & miss. The hit does 12+8 flurry for 20 hits.

The other Vamps are still taking pictures & the one is still recording, the bloodied one moved out of the room, and more importantly, out of the sunlight radius.

    Current status:

    Angel: possibly -8/34 5/13,(maybe worse)
    Ashe: 4/33 5/13 (biggest target)
    Blade: 29/30 4/11
Ember: -14/30 3/11 (might have interrupt)
    Telgarth: 6/34 6/12

Ember's turn if she can stay up, then Ashe, then top of the order...

Can they shift though difficult terrain?

I though the area around the chairs/tables was difficult terrain.

Angel's AC is currently 22 (20+2 from armor when bloodied)

Ah yes, I meant to mention that too when a Vamp fist went there... The bodied area is NOT considered difficult terrain for the Vamps, since they don't care about stepping on a corpse's limb or crushing a survivor's skull, they are walking freely.

Before anyone asks, all the PCs are much more sensitive about callously killing a badly wounded captive, and cannot also treat it as normal terrain. You guys are the heroes and must step lightly.

Okay, that hit missed you and no one is dead. I thought it was close and it was...

You took psychic damage when Mercury tried to dominate you too. You're right though, 4 & 13 hits are pretty much the same... 1 hit from down either way.
