    Sonya negated an attack on Thia and took 11 necrotic damage (6+5)

    Then Sonya was hit by the Fear attack which did 9-3=6

    So Sonya took 11+6=17.

    Sometimes it doesn't pay to help out a friend...

    No, she gains resistance 3 after the initial take is resolved.

    So she took 6 necrotic and an extra 5 because she's vulnerable. Then she gains resistance to 3 to all damage for a turn.

    The cold attack hit her and she resisted 3 of it, but she still took 6.



    The shield says:
    Immediate Interrupt. You can use this power when an adjacent ally is hit by an attack. You are hit by the attack instead. The ally is unaffected by the attack. You then gain resistance to all damage equal to half the damage dealt by the attack (if any) until the start of your next turn.

    Technically the attack on her only did 6hp of necrotic damage. She took an extra 5 for vulnerability, but I don't believe that counts as damage from the attack.

    Didn't forget...

    I believe the monsters know the general affects of a mark they are under.

    The vampire that could make an AoO on Miri is currently marked by Candelos. If it attacks, the attack would be at -2 and it would take radiant damage.

    Being a minion damage radiant or otherwise would kill it.


    So I guess the question is how much information should a monster know about a mark a PC put on it?

    If a minion know they are going to take damage, then they won't attack.

    If all they know is the -2 penalty, then I think they would attack.

    Standard: Move north of the statue to the north, then everyone except for Thia looses track of it. Thia knows that it is NE of the NE statue.

    Seems like they wouldn't know unless they felt the effects of the mark already.

    Your mark has kicked in at least once already against one of their allies (a guardian).

    I remember getting a ruling once before from WotC that a creature knows the affects of a power or mark they are under.

    I've been ruling that they would know that they would take damage, but not the amount of the damage.

    For a minion though, any damage would kill it and they won't make an attack knowing they would take damage.

    No, Sonya is not currently stable.

    Candelos, if you intend to try to heal me, if you don't have a heal left, might want to try to activate my second wind rather than stablize. Hmmm...wonder if that's allowed, activating the second wind on a dying person.

    Yes, it's actually easier than trying to stablize.

    Use Second Wind DC10
    Stabilize DC15


    There's no rules that I can find that say you have to be conscious to use your second wind. Since you can force feed a healing potion and let someone use a surge,a DC10 heal check seems fine.

    You know that there's a pillar between you and the target and it has Total Concealment. Your shot would be at -7.

    move action: move E 5 + NE 1 (inbetween Thia & the baddie)

    standard action: MBA on baddie I can't see (w/sword)

    Claw 26+2 vs Ac hits for 6+5hp of necrotic damage. It barely hit, let me know if you want to use an interrupt.

    Move: move north (no AoO since it has total concealment). It tries to hide, but Thia easily points it out.

    V2 (to the north)
    Move: move south (the only one that knows where it is Thia. It moved north of the first one (SE edge of the NE statue).

    No other actions are detected.

    2nd Free: Cmon everyone; out the door. Lets regroup (and get more light sources for this room)
    Standard: Target two minions with twin strike, I do realize I will be at a -7.
    Move: If the light source spills out the doorway then I will move east 4 spaces right near the intersection. Otherwise I need to wait for the light source.

    If we do stay, we need to get some light where that other undead is that keeps bringing the minions back so we can attack it.

    anyone who has a standard adventurer's kit should have two sunrods. Sonya has used one of hers. Still Candelos' turn, then Miri, then Sonya.

    I assumed each PC has an Adventurer's Kit, though looking through the Character Builder every PC has one except Sonya.


    I guess she took Quinn's before he decided to remain with the other humans...

    I assumed you were going to interrupt so I didn't subtract the HP. Miri is currently at 24/58hp with 8/9 surges.

    It's the same turn so you can't use another interrupt.
