    Yes we will charge small lizardman. I will use reckless sword power to add +4 to damage and take the -2AC and attack with the basic attack at the end of my charge.

    Candelos charges the lizardman and hits 26 vs AC for 17 points of damage.

    Sonya is still in the area of the trap and subject to another attack. 23 vs Fort hit for 14hp. She is transported to another section. (note: it's suppose to be random, but everytime it seems to roll the same location. I think something is wrong with their random number generator...).

    Sonya (21/56hp) is dazed and can take only a single action. You believe the area you're in is also a trap area...

    Forgot to mention...
    Candelos, after your charge/attack on the lizardman, you can see the shaman lizardman under the water about 20' north east of your current position.

    Okay, didn't think the area I was in was also trapped. Scratch my prior actions (e.g. move, heal Quinn, give basic attack to Miri) and replace with taking a standard attack against the small lizardman in front of me.

    As Kaddim moved down the stairs, the large lizardman took a swing (readied action), but missed 24 vs AC.
    Kaddim uses Booming Blade 29 vs AC hit 11hp
    The lizardman shits away from kaddim and takes 3hp from the booming blade. He then submerges...

    Thia notices the body of a lizardman float up 10' north of her. He doesn't seem to be moving...

    The lizardman fighting Candelos uses his Double Attack
    First attack 16 vs AC miss
    Second attack 28 vs AC hit for 8hp
    The lizardman shifts. He now has +2AC from cover vs Candelos.

    The shaman emerges from the water and uses his Bog Cloud ability (recharged...) He target the area around Kaddim (Burst 2).

    Quinn 21 vs Fort hit 10hp and dazed
    Miri 11 vs Fort miss
    Sonya 21 vs Fort hit 10hp and dazed
    The large lizardmand is also in the area and takes damage and is dazed.

    Quinn must be the luckiest guy alive... Charging over slippery ground and makes a DC 20 acrobatics check. (modified roll of 24).

    Quinn charges the large lizardman and attacks 25 vs AC hits for 17 points of damage.

    Thia's turn, then Miri.
    Thia, you can see the shaman from where you're standing, you'll have to move at least 15' to see the others.

    I thought for sure he'd be on his back again. With a +5 in acrobatics, he needed a 15 or better.

    The heros are pretty banged up at the moment, but it looks like the tide is starting to turn...

    I will HQ the shaman if I can (can't remember the exact wording of HQ if it is the closest enemy or the closest visible enemy) and then twin shot the shaman.
    I will then shift back up the stairs to the south.

    Thia uses Twin Strike on the shaman.

    Miri will cast magic missle on the big Lizardman right in front of her to the E for her standard action, then she will (not literally) 'run' 4 squares due N to the far top right corner of the platform. To make sure she gets there over the slippery terrain, when she gets to the bottom of the stairs, she will purposely dive prone onto the slick terrain pushing off of the stairs. If she doesn't care if she's prone, I'd think she can superman slide all the way to the square she wants without an acrobatics check that she'd probably fail...
    (note: what is that marker on Miri (of a cloud) marking?)
    Miri is finished with her round after that.

    Never mind...

    I didn't roll a save at the end of your last turn (the turn you went through the trap).

    I just rolled at the start of this turn instead and you made your save and can take normal actions.
    I rolled a save for Sonya as well. She made the save, but is still dazed from the shamans spell.

    She already lost a standard action for that last round... did she get a save last round that she missed? (If she lost a standard action last round seems like last round she'd be entitled to a save then afterwards). Offense before defense (attack). Hopefully she'll make her save this turn...

    Miri casts magic missle 17 vs Ref hit for 11 damage. She then runs up the stairs and does a "superwoman" slide on the slick platform. She easily makes it to the north corner of the platform.

    The large shifts away from the platform.

    I was studying the map & just caught this, but would the Shaman have LOS with the platform in the way? How far above the water is it? Especially since he's standing in 4' of water? I'd think he'd have to have moved another 15' south...

    Candelos moves north/east 1 square then east until he's next to the shaman lizardman.
    free action use reckless sword power for +4 damage but -2 AC to him.
    Attack with encounter power Staggering Smite.
    If a hit, puch him 2 squares to the east
    Oh big lizardman will likely get a OA. Candelos is -2 AC but I have cover from the corner.

    Unless Candelos has water walking boots or the like, I don't think he can go that far. Wading through 4' deep water is difficult terrain & half move... Unless you're an amphibian race like Lizardmen.

    He'll try 1 square NE = 2 square of normal movement.
    I think I can reach the shaman so,
    Charge east 2 squares = 4 squares of normal movement.

    The platform is just above the surface of the water ~1'.

    You notice that the whole room is very swamp-like. The air is even warmer in here than the "pit" room you entered from.

    Candelos moves (no AoO since he has cover) and charges the shaman. 22 vs AC for 17hp of damage.

    Okay, I've looked at the map (plan view) and I don't have a great understanding of what I'm looking at. The squares to my north are stairway. Are the stairs going up out of the water to the platform or are the stairs starting at the platform and going up (well over my head)? Are the squares to my north passable (can I move under the stairway)? If I were next to the platform, I assume you can just step from the water to the platform, right? I know that the platform is slick, the same goes for the stairway, right?

    As I understood it, the water is 4' deep, and the stairs goes up N from the floor of the water area up to the platform 1' above the water surface.
    "Stepping" up from the water onto the platform would be a 5' vertical step. (4' from the floor of the water area + 1' above the water surface onto the platform.) Unless of course, by magical boots or the like you can stand ON the water... then I would say you can easily step right onto the platform without using the stairs.

    Okay, so, as I understand it,

    I can attempt to walk up the stairs and will have a good chance of falling down in my square in which case I'll still have 11 hits and I'll still be in the trap area. In the best case, I'll be between the defenders and Miri making a perfect target for the Shaman if he recharges (yet again).

    I can take a second wind and at least have +2 to all my defences making it so the trap and large lizard man are less likely to hit me and less likely to kill me (25 total hits).

    Okay, I'll take a second wind as a standard action. Done.

    The platform is 5' above the floor.
    The water is 4' deep.
    The stairs start under the water and are 10' long and go up to the platform (5' high).

    The stairs probably should be slippery as well, but they're not. Only the platform is slippery. Miri, who just went sliding on it, thinks its algae.

    Okay, if I can safely move out of the trap square, I'll do it. I'll take the chance that the Shaman won't recharge again and that the dazed big lizardman won't attack me. I'll run up the stairs and then jump (from the last stair square, not the edge of the slippery platform) past Quinn/ Kaddim and attempt to land in the square in front of Miri, attempting distance rather than landing on my feet. If I land on my feet all the better. Basically, I want it to be an Athletic's check rather than an Acrobatic's check.

    My Warlord powers (Commander's Strike/ Inspiring Word/ ect.) will all still help the party on my next turn even if I'm prone, but not if I'm unconscious.
    Okay, that's my action (final answer...??)

    It would be both an athletics check for the jump and acrobatic check to avoid falling when landing on a slippery surface.

    Worse case, you'll be prone in front of Miri.

    If the initial jump is still just an athletics check, I'll still do it. I just want to get away from charge distance from the large lizardman and be away from the trap. I'll attemp the acrobatics check to be standing at the very end of the jump, but like I said, I'll probably be prone in front of Miri.

    Kaddim uses Transposing Lunge 19 vs AC hit 17 damage. The large lizardman was teleported onto the stairs.

    The small lizardman moves into flanking position and swings on Candelos twice. 28 vs AC hit 4 damage. 19 vs AC miss (even with the reduced AC and flanking).

    The shaman shifts and dives into the water to the south. Candelos and Kaddim see him swim about 10', then you loose sight of him.

    Noone is dazed at the moment.

    Oh, Thia sees the body that was floating go beneath the surface. The other adventurers see the body pop up to the south. It still doesn't seem to be moving on its own.

    I don't think Quinn or Thia's action will change what Miri does...
    Move action: stand up;

    Standard action: cast Magic Missle on the large Lizardman fighting Quinn & Kaddim, (if the large Lizardman is down or out of sight when it's her turn, same spell on Lizardman fighting Candelos);

    Minor action: recast 'Light' spell in square due E of Kaddim to try & get a better look at what's moving floating Lizardman (can we see something swimming underneath it?);

    Free action: say relatively quietly to herself, "Yuck, I got this algae all over me!"

    OOC: teleporting lunge is a cool power for a defender... is that an encounter?

    If I can see the small lizardman on Candelos from where I am, I will use HQ and twin strike him. Otherwise I will shift 5 feet north and do the same action.

    Quinn is in range and uses Reaping Strike: 28 vs AC hit for 19hp.

    Thia has a shot at the lizardman from her current position, but it would be at -2 from cover. After shifting 5' north, Thia has a clear shot and uses Twin Strike:
    30 vs AC hit for 15 damage
    28 vs AC hit for 10 damage
    HQ damage is 4 total = 29hp.

    Miri stands and fires a Magic Missle at the large lizarman: 11 vs Ref miss.

    The large lizarman takes a swing on Quinn 16 vs AC miss. He then shift 5' off of the stairs. (note: for those who traveled through the water trap, you don't think the large lizardman would fit in it...)

    Candelos uses Staggering Smite 32 vs Ref (critical hit) for 31 points of damage. You can push the lizardman up to two squares if you like...

    The lizardman looks heavily damaged.

    Standard Action - Give Candelos a free basic attack using Commander Strike. If for some reason I can't give Candelos a free basic attack (because he pushed the lizardman away), give it to Kaddim instead.

    Move Action - Stand up.

    Minor Action - Use last encounter Inspiring Word on Quinn (don't forget to add + 1d6 hits).

    Candelos uses the basic attack and downs the lizardman. (22 vs AC for 14hp).

    Quinn uses a healing surge (thanks to Sonya) and heals 22 hp (16+6).

    The shaman moves into flanking position with the large lizardman and attacks Kaddim. 22 vs AC miss.

    Hmm, same thing. I'll have to look to see if there are limits to the amount of stuff I can host.

    It hasn't worked for anyone else but I will try it anyways.

    I will move east 1 and try a jump NE and a move NE to try and get across the trap area and be able to shoot the shaman again. If it works she will HQ the shaman and twin strike. If it doesn't then I will need to use my dazed action to use a second wind since I will be really hurting if it hits me.
