    Free Action: Think to self: '...well that was not a surprise.'

    Move Action: Shift one square NW. If I can't shift through the corner of the pillar, move W, then N.
    Free Action: (not using imtimidate which would be more than a Free Action) Say "Vren is dead, immediately drop your bow and stand still and you'll live... or I call the swordsman over."
    Standard Action: If the footman doesn't immediately drop his bow, strike (to subdue). Basic Attack (I'm out of everything else except one daily and my At Wills don't make sense for one vs. one).
    Standard Action: If the footman drops his bow, ready action: If he tries to run or strike, give him the axe.

    Done...

    The archer lowers his weapon, but doesn't drop it.

    Archer:
    In Common: "I don't think I can trust you guys. Vren surrendered and your swordsman killed him anyways."

    The archer then speaks in draconic and you hear a reply from Nathan (the archer to the east) in draconic. Nathan seems to be eyeing the flaming sphere and the halway to the south...

    I don't know what Sonya's going to do but after that Miri will:
    Minor action: sustain the Flaming Sphere for the final time
    Move action: Move 3 squares NE + 1 square E (directly N of pillar, giving the badly wounded Kaddim some cover)
    Standard action: Magic Missle the regenerating Ferrence to keep him down a little longer until we see if Nathan and the Humans will surrender.

    Per my prior post -

    Std Act: If the archer does not immediately drop his bow, strike to subdue.
    Free Action: while swinging say "...won't kill you, but I wouldn't trust us either, have a nice nap!"
    Free Action: Say to Nathan "Give it up Nathan."

    He lowered it, but didn't drop it.

    Sonya makes a basic attack to subdue 29 vs AC hits for 12 damage.

    The footman looks pretty demoralized and drops his bow.

    Miri moves and magic missiles Ferrence for 9hp of damage.

    Nathan tries to make a run for it. He gets a running start an tries to leap over the flaming sphere. You see him bounce off of the middle of the sphere (taking damage) and fall prone. He crawls back away from the sphere and surrenders.

    What does the party do with its prisoners?

    Assuming free movement, dismiss Flaming Sphere, walk over to Nathan and help him up. "Wise choice. Keep you men in line and we may take you with us when we escape this prison. Why did Vren double cross us, and who's your man over there with the wicked bow?" (points to the bowman in the NW corner)
    Note to party: I'd rather have them join us as allies than burden us as prisoners.

    OOC: Well at least I hit Vren, that would have been embarrassing if I stated that then missed. I agree with allies but they did just fight us and its only wise to have some precuations. I guess disarming is effective but tieing up we have them more under our control until everyone calms down. I can live with either I just want a break so I can heal. Smile

    Quinn: "Who was the second in command? How many are there in this group? We should form everyone up and talk about how this is going to play out. I like the idea of a sanctuary but we are a roaming group so don't know how long we will spend here. Someone needs to take the postition of leader (looks at Sonya) and organize how this alliance is going to work."

    Been wanting to use that for a while but haven't been able to.

    I'm guessing Nathan was number 2 since he has a name. Anyone have any silver on them to get rid of Ferrance?

    Does my nature rolls tell me anything about Ferrance/Werewolves? Do they normally go into frenzies like that and not listen to things or only when bloodied? Are they inherently evil or do they take the characteristics of the person they were?

    Did we account for the men caught behind the ball of fire?

    We should first tie them up then bring each man, one at a time, into a room to tell us their story. Two people with the highest insight should be the ones questioning each person. Maybe then we can get an idea on exactly what went on.

    No, I just released the Sphere & Ken hasn't said what was behind it, so don't know where the last 2 men are.

    Great idea questioning them seperately, but I say just take their arms (that is weapons) and not tie them up. I think we want to try to make them allies. (Especially that bowman who can daze)

    Nathan points to Ferrence's sword on the ground (he dropped it as he shapechanged) and says it's silver and magical. Ferrence was a good friend until we got here. I don't know what set him off, but I've never seen anything like it.

    Thia's nature roll tells her that werewolves do go into frenzies occasionally during a full moon. Most werewolves are evil and they do keep much of the former personality (except when frenzied).

    Someone looks down the hallway and it's empty. Nathan will tell the party that the rest of the men probably went back to the "safe" room (the room with the teleporter trap).

    To the PCs only: If it's a longsword, Miri doesn't have a magical one and is proficient (which is pretty unusual for a mage). Anyone else want it? I'm guessing most PCs that want a magical sword already has pretty nice ones.
