    Note: If Thia gets some crits & somehow drops that one, switch targets to the Ghost Kaddim is fighting (the more wounded one). Edit: If I'm attacking the Ghost, shift first, then cast, so no cover.

    Hmm, you could be right.

    The PHB states that a phasing creature can't end its move in an occupied square.

    The module does describe the "ghostly figures" tactics and it does say they will make use of the pyramid construction to disappear through walls/floors and hide.

    I took that to mean that they could end their turn inside of a solid object.

    If you guys like we can discuss it on the rules forum.

    I think it means they would phase through a wall and goto the next room or level to get away. They would still have to end their turn in an open area. In the same vein I don't think they can be force moved into a wall.

    Vyrellis to Candelos:
    The floating creatures looks like some type of wraith to me. They generally stay close to where they died or are bound. They also tend to flee when bloodied and return when most if not all of their strength has returned.

    My advice is to get them both bloodied about the same time and make them flee together, otherwise one will rest while the other attacks.

    You could also try leaving the area to see if they follow.

    I think its fair to assume when they have been going into walls they know of open spaces above, below or on the sides. Only push is probably an incorrect ruling.

    Sounds fair... But what if the walls were hollow?

    The environment of the pyramid changes to suit the strongest inhabitant in the area. If the area was designed specifically for the wraiths, then the walls could very well have open areas where the wraiths could hide.

    Normally that would be a bit cheezy, but the pyramid does conform to its inhabitants...

    The push would also work if the wall they were pushed into were hollow.

    It doesn't even have to be big openings. Squeezing would be okay since they don't have to care about giving up combat advantage. Either way, I say we leave it as is, since this is pretty much a unique situation and won't be a precedent for other encounters anyway. The push was meant to slam into a wall for more damage; in this case I don't think it would have & the way it was adjudicated seems fine.

    Oh! Miri just thought of something... Do the Wraiths resemble any of the bone piles in the nooks? What if we collected all the bones & brought them to Breeze's lair?

    Miri can't see the nooks very well, but the other PC take a quick look and say yea, the bones could belong to the wraiths.

    Sonya: Throw Javalin (that is in my hand w the light shield) at the far ghost.
    If I have to drop my axe as a free action to do so, I will.
    If I cannot attack with the javalin with a single standard action, I'll just charge the near ghost with my axe, making a MBA instead.

    You can't throw the javalin using your shield arm so you'd have to switch hands. Is switching hands a free action or minor action?

    Dropping an item is a free action but retrieving an item "from your person" is a minor action. Picking up an item in your space is also a minor action.

    I did use a minor action to retrieve the item and put it in my shield hand with my light shield.
    I'll just go ahead and charge the near undead w my best weapon, my Waraxe for a MBA.
    Roll save, done.

    Yay, they finally left Thia alone! Weakening our only striker hurt us quite a bit this battle. I hope Kaddim can immobilize again... I don't think we can finish the bloodied one this round with all of us doing 1/2 or 1/4 damage.

    Hmmm...what do you all think? I think Kaddim would try to immobilize the wounded ghost again to give us a chance to finish it off. Since many of us are weakened, trying to immobilize the other ghost doesn't make much sense as even with attacks from Candelos, Thia and Sonya, with it being incorporeal and us being weakened, those three or four attacks, even if they all hit, likely won't be enough.

    I think; Kaddim:
    Move: Shift N
    Standard: The attack that immobilizes (if it is an at will)
    Minor: Mark it (if it takes a minor to do so)
    Make Save...
    ...what do you guys think?

    The imobilizing attack that Kaddim cast last round was 'Foesnare', and according to his bio is an encounter ability. I don't know what 'isolating slam' does, but if it imobilizes, and he hasn't used it yet, I'd think he'd use that one. If he has no imobilizing attack left, I say we just do our best to run them off... we can't beat them.

    I'd prefer to wait on Ross to say what he wants his PC to do or give someone else control.

    Kaddim doesn't have any more attacks that Immobilize.

    Marking the creature will overwrite Candelos' mark. Candelos' mark does radiant damage which they are vulnerable to while Kaddim's mark reduces damage that enemies do.

    He's also weakened so any damage he does is divided by 4...

    Standard: Commander's Strike - Give either Candelos or Kaddim a free melee basic attack. If one of them made their save vs. weakened, then that's the one that gets the attack. If they either both missed or both made thier save, then Candelos gets the attack.
    Free: "Thia, if you stand next to and behind me in case you get attacked I can deflect the attack with my shield."
