...been hunting around for miniatures beyond what Reaper Miniatures has and this is what I've found so far.

    www.reapermini.com
A very wide selection of plastic and metal figures for fantasy as well as Sci-Fi

    www.darkswordminiatures.com
A large selection of pewter figures for fantasy gaming. These are about twice as expensive as the metal Reaper figures but the ones by Darksword are really works of art. I've been ordering in groups of three and have finished three which all turned out great and I have three more in progress of being painted and have picked out the next three I want to order.

    https://bombshellminis.com/
There are some good Sci-Fi minis here. I like the Babes (TM) sub-section.

    https://store.ironwindmetals.com/store/
Iron Wind Metals was started by a few former Ral Partha employees who have the majority of the old Ral Partha molds. It's basically the new Ral Partha. Both Sci-Fi and fantasy figures at a price less than reaper but the detail is a bit less also.

    https://wizkids.com/unpainted/
Plastic D&D figures licensed by Wizards of the Coast. Good detail, very inexpensive. I have a number of these painted up and they're good. Have a lot of the harder to find races for PCs.

Hero Forge - design your own 3D printed figure, unpainted, colored, or professionally painted
We have a whole topic on this already.

    ...even more miniature companies:

Raging Heroes - all resin figures. They are kind of in their own unique style, SciFi included.

Thrill Studio - fairly wide selection - Far East and Greek God selection is good.

Hassle Free Miniatures - Miniatures are modular coming w multi-sets of arms and different weapons. Also, they sell the same character but with more and more advanced equipment so you can "Level Up" your miniature figure as your PC levels up. I hear the Resin figures are a bit brittle.

Brother Vinni's - Some pretty famous characters from Movies, TV and comics.

Took a close look at Brother Vinnis and Hassle Free and there are quite a few good figures for Star Gate.
The name of the glue is Bondic UV Light Welding Kit. It is now sold on Amazon for $32.00. Comes w two tubes of resin.

Update on painting... in 2020, I counted and I roughly painted about 75 figures. I ordered about 35 miniatures from Reaper and painted 21/35. In the last three months of the year, I ordered 14 (+4 free minis) from Darksword Miniatures and painted (or accounted for) 14/18 and I'm very happy with the results. I've actually getting close to having all the "5 Star" minis I want from Darksword and was going to start ordering from some of the other websites above.

The remaining 40 minis I painted this year were from my general painting backlog (painted quite a few of the Bones I got from the Kick Starter Ross alerted me to where we each received this Massive Box of minis). I'll post a few of the better ones here. Also, if you're a DM, I have an entire gang of ten Were Rats, w a Boss, a Super Boss, a Caster and then 20 size S rats. I also have painted five size S spiders, one of them could be M size. Painted two Minotaur and two large Brown Bears.

2021 moving along... Seven mini's painted so far this year. The last four were all Reaper - two monsters and two PC's (a Battle Wizard of Tyr Amar and a Thug/ Barbarian). Reminder, if you're looking for great ideas on paint jobs/ color schemes, on Reaper's website there are galleries from ReaperCon of all the award winning figures, hundreds of them, that won going years back.

I have a small backlog of about twenty figures now that could be used for either RIFTs or StarGate, but haven't decided if I should paint those first or start on the twenty Drow I have waiting. ...then there's those thirty Gnolls with the cool leaders I've always wanted to paint.

Ordered a half dozen minis from both Hassle Free miniatures and Brother Vinnys. I'll give a review when they arrive. A dozen miniatures painted so far in 2021.

Victoria Miniatures - not too much fantasy but maybe some for RIFTs.

Both boxes of miniatures, one from "My Cousin Vinney" and the other from Hassle Free, arrived within a day of each other. Vinney from Croatia and HF from the United Kingdom. I limited myself to ten figures per company and they are all outstanding! MCV are high quality resin. Need assembly and some flash along the mold lines but nothing a razor doesn't clean up. The HF figures are metal and they look to be a great value and of high quality. I can't wait to paint them up. From both companies I got a mix of Sci-Fi and fantasy figures.
