Into the Underdark 4.0 14th Level

...and the adventure continues!  After discovering the power behind the giant uprisings, the party will head toward the depths of the under dark in an effort to bring down the two houses of drow who must be powering the black sphere that is engulfing the city and the lands around it.

I'm thinking I'll stick with my current format, giving everyone a chance to play.  I'll write each adventure or adventure segment and then run the adventure twice with a Team 1 and a Team 2.

If players want to take this opportunity to switch to a new PC, you may.  Starting new PCs would be 14th level, non-evil, and would have a 16th Level Item, a 15th Level Item and a 14th Level Item and enough gold to purchase an additional 14th Level item to purchase any normal equipment and other items of Level 13 or less.  If you intend on making a new PC, please post them in people, places and things.  Also, after you level up to 14th, please post your updated PC in people, places and things.  

Around Oct 10th, I'm running a Newport Knights adventure for Kobe's group so it may be quite a while before we kick off the under dark series...

Maybe Ken and Mick can finish making out their adventures...and we can continue to play in Ross' Zombie series... :-)

What do Themes do?

Yes, if you're willing to burn a feat, I'd be inclined to say you could craft your own items of 16th or less (you would still have to spend the gold). I'd not allow you to craft items for others as a general rule as I don't want to get into tracking non-adventuring time. If others wish to obtain a specific item of 16th or higher, they can attempt to gather information on it and go on an adventure for it. If the PC wants a specific item, if there's some game based reason Raistlin would create an item for that other PC, I might consider allowing such on an exception basis.

If you have the source document or rule book that defines the Theme, you may use the Theme.

Yes, the Compendium would be sufficient.

The merchant sends the group 10,000 GP... (in gems) and it arrives by courier, a small group of lesser adventurers.

All PC's may purchase any item of your level, 14, or lower. Artifact and unique items may not be purchased. I suppose if someone has a piece of the Rod of Seven parts, I'll let them trade it for any item of 16th level or lower.

For other 16th level items, yes, include in "In Game Banter" what item your PC is looking for and I'll attempt to include it into a future adventure.

Sorry I am a little late on this but I have a few questions on the spreadsheet for group 2.

First is what is my share of the total?

Second I think I know the answer to but I want to make sure. There are a few items that aren't on the sheet that were handed out in the adventure but they are items that could never be sold for gold. For instance I got 2 of the "turn an item into a higher plus" loot. They had to be used immediately so they couldn't be sold.

Third I think some of the conversion to gold prices (Column C I am assuming is all in gold) are off. Cell D18 is electrum and since 4E doesn't actually have electrum I will use the conversion from 5E which means C18 should be 3500 gold not 7000. On the flip side the platinum rows (D9, D36, D52) aren't multiplied by 10. I think all the other prices look good as they are all converted to gold.

No problem on checking it out, sorry it took so long.

1) My total on G76 shows that I get 431,190 gold out of the total gold of 713,876. If you look at Mickey next to me he shows he got 373,190 out of the total of 713,876 but between the two of us we got more than the total. I believe there should be another column that shows what the share should be. IE For row 8 which is 23,000 gold the 6 people that went on the adventure should get 3833.33 gold allocated. Then in your formula row you can SUMIFS the new share column and everyone will tie out to the total gold received.

2) That makes absolute sense and I am good with that too.

3) That also make sense and Stuart will need to chime in but I doubt he meant it my way since that would add hundreds of thousands of gold to the total.
