Yeah, Blade should have hit and did 18 hits. (Damn you guys are hitting hard now that all your powers are unlocked!)

    Dwarmaj wrote:Angel's turn:

Move: use Lion's Den movement and shift 1S

    Minor: pull out wooden stake

Standard: Coup de grace the vampire. FoB on the guardian for 10hp.

Note: defenses increase to: (21/17/17/18) for the round.

Nice move! Angel auto takes out 2 baddies as the Vamp turns to dust and the Gaurdian falls.

Mick wrote:standard: scorching blast on guardians by stairs, that should get the dead vamp and 1 guardians
minor: cast light spell in space 5SW from her.
move: none, keep giving Blade flanking bonus.

Ember moves the light spell and everyone can clearly see the 3 figures coming up look like they have severe neck wounds and rope burns on their wrists. She then summons another burst of fire and 9+6=15 miss, 4+6=10, miss.

Guardian attacking Ember shifts N 1 and 20+9=29 critical! Ember takes 11 hits and is poisoned and bloodied.

The Gaurdian attacking Telgarth moves E then S and 13+9=22 hit for 7 hits + redundant poison.

The Brain compels Telgarth to Bond of Pursuit Ashe and 3+10=13 miss, then turns invisible again and shifts E. Note: this round Angel and Blade can pinpoint him but no one else can (passively)

Ashe's turn, then Blade, then Telgarth gets more poison damage & 2 save attempts (poison & domination)

Would Firedeath interupt work to reduce a crit to 1+mod?

All damage dice rolled for the triggering
attack are considered to have a result of 1.

Free: Can someone tell me approximately where that brain is?

Delay and if someone can tell me the square I will use blazing starfall to attack the square since it is a burst making sure not to get anyone else in the blast unless i know it is a guardian or vamp.

I don't think so since no damage is rolled for a critical. Damage is maximized.

It would work for extra damage associated with a critical. (ie. magic weapon)

Angel will use a free action to tell Ashe where the brain creature is.

Concur re: Firedeath, but not terribly confident about it...

    Dwarmaj wrote:

Talking doesn't have to happen in initiative order, so no need for Ashe to delay...

Ashe gambles with offense instead of defense, but 1+6=7 misses the Brain, but you think you had the right square.

    Blade's turn...

I'm having trouble determining who the bad guys are vs us. Humanoids vs humanoids on the pictures. Can you place a symbol of some kind on the PC's?

The Guardians look like Goblins with spear & shields, the brain is the tiny token. That's all the baddies, you guys are almost out of the woods this encounter. (3 baddies left)

The rest are you guys and hostages coming out. But you think in the future, Vamps will take big advantage of the fact that they can blend in as Humanoids (at night time, anyway).

Move: Shadow Step 2 North, so I'm flanking the Orc
Free: Place Shroud on the Orc
Standard: Gloom Thief & and Trigger the Shroud. If I hit I'm invisible.

Yes, you're right, but you just got hit again anyway.

Telgarth takes 5 poison at the start of his turn (2 hits remaining), but '20' saves v domination and '17' saves v poison.

The hostages move closer to Angel, and one asks of the group, "I don't believe what I'm seeing... How is any of this possible??"

    Angel's turn, then Ember...

My damage for Gloom Thief should have been: 4d4+6(Dex)+2(Enhancement)+1d6(Shroud)+1d6(Shroud). Can't tell if that's how it was calculated or not. Might make the damage a bit lower or higher on a good roll.

    Angel's turn:

If the dead NPC to the south (in between the downed guardian and the live one) is a vampire, then I'll:

Move: move west of the "dead" vampire

Standard: coup de grace the dead vampire and FoB on the guardian.

Note: if I take an AoO from any of the "eladrins" then I'll change my plans.

If the dead token is not a vampire then I'll move and charge the guardian to the south. Ending in the dead token's square.

Don't you get an additional +6 since there are no other enemies adjacent?

Also, didn't know you had a +2 weapon. May have made a difference in the last couple of rounds...

The last 2 6's I added were the Nightstalker & 2 shroud damage, not sure what happened to the base damage... I'll reroll: falchion 12(2[2d4]: 7, 5)=12

I don't think the token added ability damage... 12+6 dex +2 weapon +6 NS +6 shrouds = 34 damage. Big difference... the Gaurdian falls. (& Blade is invisible)

Ember takes 5 poison, uses 2nd wind, and '8' is still poisoned. (net gain of 2 hits)

Just before the Brain's turn it becomes visible again and whoo hoo (sort of) 20+7=27 critical! on it's domination attempt on Ashe (no damage roll to maximize though!)

Ashe is compelled to take a MBA on Telgarth and 17+11=28 hit for 12 damage, and Telgarth falls at -10. I was going to have Ashe use Virtuous Strike, but I did't want Ashe to get a bonus to his domination save...

Didn't matter, at the end of Ashe's turn he rolls a '10' and is no longer dominated.

Blade's turn, then death save for Telgarth, then Angel then Ember...

Oh yeah! And any healing starts at zero & adds from there, right? Instead of -10 hits and needing a death save, I think maybe at the start of your turn you are up with 2 hits?

Does Telgarth's regeneration give him a turn this round?

Ember loses 5 hits to poison, moves and summons an unerring bolt of magic toward the Brain for 8 hits. It is still not bloodied. At the end of her turn, she rolls a '10 and is no longer poisoned. (8 hits)

    Baddies turn...

Darn your Lion's Den! Gaurdian fighting Angel shifts S 1 and 12+9=21 barely miss.

Brain shift E 1 and 4+7=11 v will doesn't posess Ashe's mind, and turns invisible again (stealth DC22 to pinpoint).

Ashe, Blade, Telgarth, Angel, then Ember...

FYI since the brain is hovering, the ceiling is really high 10' tall and it's flying 8' up (& was sitting on a shelf the same height). In other words while it can fly over the heads of any of you, it can't fly over the melee reach of any of you.

Move, minor, and standard and Telgarth is awake with 8/34 7/12. And yes, on your turn since you're still bloodied and it's active until the end of the encounter, you still meet all the prereqs for Longtooth shifting and would regen 2. (Your sword is lying next to you, as well as anything else you were holding though, and you're prone.)

    Blade's turn...

My token doesn't look like it is full up. I thought I used enough surges to be full.

Ashe's token shows him as prone.

Telgarth should be at full hits also.
    Al

Didn't notice the status on Ashe (that was added automatically). fixed.

    I have

    Angel 30/34 11/13
    Ashe 32/33 8/13
Blade 15/30 8/11 (bloodied by spearman)
    Ember 30/30 8/11
    Telgarth 34/34 9/12

I used one surge w/ the potion but you have me down as seven not eight.

But I'm no longer poisoned or dominated right? I believe I saved before I was hit by Ashe. The extra surge might have been used when I gave the potion to Ashe.

You have to see him to use a shroud and I don't believe anyone in the party has 22 passive perception.

Though I think we know where the brain is at since he shifted, then attacked, then turned invisible. He didn't use a move action to hide...
