    The party has looked at the west door and haven't found a way to get through from the room you're in.

    Kaddim and Candelos were trapped in the room for quite a while and weren't able to find anything.

    Yes, the west (medusa) and northwest (manglers) doors are still open.

    Eventually...

    The party figures out that Sonya, Miri, and Thia need to travel through the Demonic mouth that seems to eat creatures that pass through.

    Once each of them overcome their fears and travel through, then the southern door opens.
