What is a fullblade? Is that a type of sword like long, broad, bastard? Or is it (hopefully) a type of longsword?

Sonya looks at Miri: "A Fullblade (holding the sword) is a large sword that is meant to be used by an experienced user. Because of its size only a warrior with experience and considerable strength can use it effectively. I doubt a petite spellcaster like yourself could even lift it."

Miri will silently weild her longsword, which she burned 2 feats to weild both proficiently and well, in response.

I say we go slay the "Cultist to the south" and gain a reward from the dragon.

Looking at the map you're pretty sure the archway to your east goes to the room where Kaddim and Candelos were trapped.

Alright, instead of holding hands, we'll try interlocking elbows and closing our eyes and covering our ears. Then try again.

When you close your eyes and cover your ears and walk through there is no barrier that blocks your way.
After walking a few feet you feel a cold breeze and open your eyes. The party is now in the room where Kaddim and Candelos were trapped.
You notice that the west and northwest doors are open.
The northeast door is still closed.
The south door is still closed.
You also notice to orc statues on either side of the south doors.
What does the party want to do?

Sonya,
Move Action: Move to the W of the Western Orc
Free Action: say "Surrender Now, or I'll chop you up, one little piece at a time. With this big axe, believe me, I really can do it."
Standard Action: Ready action to Swing as soon as another PC is in flanking position or the Orc unstones and doesn't immediately surrender.
Free Action: "If someone gets on the other side, we can hit him at the same time!"

Miri will move to the NW corner of the room directly above Thia and shoot the close one with a magic missle. Was it untargetable, or did it resist like the other Gar-Orcs? (or did I damage it?)

To make it easy I rolled 10 times for Sonya, she got a critical on the eigth swing and did Max+8hp of damage. They have resist 25 to each damage they take.
I'll have to look up your max damage in the morning I don't have MapTools up at the moment...

Re: Heading south
2d12+6 +2d6 = a max of 42 on a regular swing w/o using a power. Sonya has a few powers that let her do 2W (54 max) and three that let her do 3W (66 max). If I use the axe two handed, which I think I'll do in this case (hey, they aren't fighting back), then max damage becomes 43, 55, and 67. Won't use any special powers yet.

Damn, didn't know Sonya could dish out that damage. Thia will be standing by readying an action to biting volley if they come out of stone form. I will also HQ the closest one to me.

At the rate you're doing damage they would have regenerated any damage you've done by the next time you do damage.
The time you hit you did 38hp of damage which they resisted 25 of. On average it'll be another 20 rounds before you critical again, but you could hit and roll above 25. An average hit by Sonya does 19hp of damage.
If you want to hack away at the gargoyles you could probably down them both in an hour or two.
What does the rest of the party do while Sonya is hacking away at the gargoyles?
The party is in a room with four doors. Two are open (west and northwest). Two are closed (south and northeast).

Re: Heading south
If they don't come out of stone form in like a minute or a minute and a half Thia gets bored and stops readying actions.
West is the door we just came through and Northwest is the door that the girls came through when Candelos and Kaddim were stuck in here? That means that Northeast is the door that Candelos and Kaddim came through.
So that leaves South as our only destination from here.
I will say out loud after a little while "Cmon, we don't want to kill you. We just want assurances that you wont attack us or hinder us as we try to get out of here."

From your past dealings with gargoyles and a nature check, Thia doesn't think gargoyles can hear when in stone form. Then can sense creatures around them and know they're being attacked but can't see or hear.

I have the 'Tenser's Binding' ritual. It costs 400gp a pop, but if they're statues, I assume they can be considered helpless. We can hold them in place for 12 hours (& someone else can sustain it after that...)

If we can just drop these guys off in the pit then they aren't a problem to us anymore. Let the other gargoyles watch over them and then we don't have to sit here hacking at them for 2 hours.

Re: Heading south
We have three choices and I don't really like 2 of them.
We can put them somewhere - My best option
We can leave them be - Don't like enemies that can hound us and follow us
We can spend two hours or more and hack both of them to stony bits - Thia is a good person and while they are enemies that have hurt us in the past it just doesn't feel right to hack them to bits without them doing something. However, if other people just want to kill them then hack away.

...points? Who's trying to win points? If the dragon is offering us a reward for doing in the cultist, and if we might be fighting the cultist anyway, we might as well get a reward for doing so. Based on our performance in the last battle, I don't think we're ready for "Stairs Up".

Yes, but that was inevitable. To Ken's point, I too was surprised how many we made before we finally started missing.
But, I still think it a bad idea to go back to Breeze. Let's try the S doors. Miri will go full defensive and go between the Gar-Orcs in front of the doors and jump up & down. (they use tremorsense, right?) "Hello Gar-Orcs! Open these doors for us."

Miri tries after Sonya stops hacking with no results.
Once they are at full HP Miri tries again with no results.
Miri then walks away from them and both revert to normal.
Together they say (in primordial, only Kaddim can understand):

Assuming Kaddim translates...
To pass through these gates each of the three tests must be completed by those who started.
The Gate of Ignorance (they point to the door to the west).
The Gate of Treachery (they point to the northwest door).
The Gate of Terror (they point to the northeast door).
