The party unlocks the door and opens it (it is very difficult to open as ice has formed around the frame).

The corridor ahead looks very slippery.

try the first door on the left (north) as I hate to leave potential enemies behind us. Attempt to ascertain how difficult running, moving normal speed and shifting would be in this room. Attempt to determine (a good axe blow downward) if the ice is thin enough that a wall of fire or scorching burst would melt the ice or create a lot of steam.

The ground is very slippery and is considered difficult terrain. Also you feel that there's a chance of falling prone each round. The ice is very thick and magical in nature.

As the party approaches the door it opens and you see several Eladrins with pale skin and frost covered weapons and armor.

Eladrin #1: shouting loudly "Intruders! Intruders!

Eladrin #2: Surrender or die!



That was their surprise round.

At the start of Candelos' turn he slips and falls prone. He takes 3hp of damage from the fall.

The party can hear movement from behind the doors to the south and around the corner south...

After Candelos' turn, several Eladrins (6) appear from the doors to the south. They move, then teleport adjacent to members of the party.

Only one did a single move, he moved to east of Kaddim and strikes with his sword.

The party notices that they are definetely striking to subdue (but they are striking...)


From around the corner to the SE an Eladrin female appears. Her skin is as white as snow, eyes and hair as blue as sapphires.

She points her spear at Thia and a whirlwind appears.
Winter Winds 30 vs Ref hits for 13hp of damage. Thia is teleported 3 squares.

The female Eladrin then points her spear at Kaddim.
Freezing Bolt 28 vs Ref hits for 12hp of damage. Kaddim is immobilized until the end of her next turn.






Sonya's turn, then Miri and Kaddim

At the start of Sonya's turn she has trouble with her footing.

Icy Terrain 15 vs Ref miss.

Sonya does not fall prone and can move normally (1/2 speed since she is in difficult terrain).

Standard Action - Full Defense, gain + 2 to all defenses (including AC)
Move Action - Move, since I can't shift, 1 SW and draw several AoO's.
I should be out of the icy terrain now. If I'm not, I should still have 3 squares of movement left. I'll only use my additional squares of movement if I'm still in icy terrain.
Free Action - Say, in elven in as distinct an elven voice as my half elven heritage allows: "We are not your enemies, cease your attacks and stand down."

Sonya's turn:
Move: move 1SW drawing 3 AoO.
AoO #1 19 vs Ac miss
AoO #2 25+2 vs Ac miss
AoO #3 30+2 vs Ac hits for 7hp of damage.

The female Eladrin says:
All trespassers must stand before Breeze or die. Drop your weapons or we will take them from you cold

Not sure that we have much choice.

Since I typically have out Long Sword in one hand and the Dragon Orb in the other.
Candelos will raise the Dragon Orb and say "We are in alliance with Queen Vyrellis"
And he will ask Vyrellis to speak on our behalf.

Hmmm...how long do we wait?

I haven't heard from Brad...

He's probably busy with new job/moving.

I think he should be finished with moving this weekend, so I'm fine with waiting until Monday.

I just talked to Brad (well he talked since I can't, my whole mouth is numb from the Dentist). He texted me too. His internet has been down due to HW problems with his computer. He should get the replacement part he needs today and be back on line as early as tonight. He said one of the first things he'll do when his internet comes back up is post his turn. Then he'll get the ads posted for the available units.

I think you messed up on the order of the creatures I hit.

Also, the one I marked was never a target and should have been the one closest to the caster, unless that one moved to flank Candelos.

WK#2 (yellow outline)
Standard: Marks Kaddim (Kaddim will take damage if he makes an attack that doesn't include him).
Move: teleport south of Miri.

WK#3 (blue outline)
Move: moves out of a door from the east and moves adjacent to Kaddim.
Standard: mark Miri. (Miri will take damage if she makes an attack that doesn't include him).



Thia's turn...
At the start of Thia's turn she starts to loose her footing
Icy Terrain 28 vs Ref hits for 8hp of damage. Thia is now prone.

WK#2 took 5hp of fire at the start of his turn, but is no longer on fire.

K, I moved him over two.

Thia will try to stand with her move. If she succeeds she will Twin Strike the WB next to her and the other WB accepting the AoO as she has defensive mobility. If the WB hits on the AoO she will use Yield Ground to shift out the doors past Sonya.

It doesn't look like the Winter Blade that started it's turn next to Candelos was affected by the cold. It does look slowed though...

Hmm it looks as if I will be taking cold damage and be slowed unless the teleport is considered a move for the purposes of weave through the fray and I can shift while prone.
