Arthur's 5e Game - Character Creation

All,
Arthur is planning a 5e fantasy game. People who run games that Arthur can play in; .e.g. Doom!, StarGate, Stu's 4e, RIFTS, will be extended priority seating. For character creation, it will be 5e D and D in a fantasy setting. Will start at 3rd Level with the standard point buy. No word on magic items or other parameters.

Character creation parameters:

3rd level
Use 27 point buy for stats.
For first level you get max HP after that take the average.
All official Wizard of the Coast 5e material is permitted. No Unearthed Arcana.
No magic items at starting character creation but you can expect to find magic item throughout the campaign as it will be a high magic setting.

I have 3 different campaigns I could run:
1. The Arena - You have been trapped in this gladiatorial Arena for some time forced to fight for the entertainment of the evil races of the Underdark, but it is finally time work on your escape for you have gathered some reliable companions.

2. Welcome to the End - Asmodeus has invaded the material plane of existence and has mostly blocked the gods from interfering. The gods were able to grant a small blessing to the heroes of this story so that when they die that can try again. Lots of Live, Die, Repeat.

3. Dragon Fall - Some time ago the Dragons both chromatic and metallic united to conquer the world with the aid of their creations the dragonborn. For some time though no one has seen an actual dragon and rumors are beginning to spread that they have all vanished. Will you continue to serve your Draconic Overlords or will you join the burgeoning rebellion?

I vote for dragon fall. Maybe a Ranger or Fighter.

I like 2 or 3.
I'll probably play a Firbolg Druid.

Not a DM but I also vote for 2/3 leaning towards 3.

I am thinking Arakocra Rogue or Monk preferably, a wizard 2nd, or a cleric 3rd.

I like 1 or 2.
I’ve been playing around with a rogue/monk multi class. Elf- Eladrin.

Not sure on PC, Ranger or Monk

What format should we use to post PC for the DM to view?

Does 5E have character summary like the 4E builder did?
Should we post a PDF of an exported character?

Made a figure on Hero Forge, not sure if I'm going to buy it yet...
