Doom! Kid Character Creation Guidelines Post Loth

For the next Doom! session, generate a PC of the kid you're playing per the following.

All numbers are 10, except for one 12.
Add the + 1 "Human" bonus to all numbers.
If the kid is over 18 years of age, three numbers are 12 instead of one.
The kid is now an Elf - Dark Elf (Drow) race.
5.0 e - 7th Level with 40K gold pieces worth of magic items.
Magic Items may not be Legendary or Artifact items. You may only have three attuned items.
Use the Giants in the Playground - Updated Sane Magic Item Price Guide that Ross posted in the chat.

Kobe is a Fighter/ Samurai - Rogue
He's tough to hit, a great shot, good in close combat and has Disadvantage on both Stealth and Perception.

hey can we get real stats now that were level 7? 12 in one category is really limiting by level 7

For characters who are 18 or older they get the +1 to each stat for being human so they should be
13, 13, 13, 11, 11, 11 + Dark Elf Adjustment of +2 to Dex and +1 to Cha

Younger than 18 years old are:
13, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11 + Dark Elf Adjustment of +2 to Dex and +1 to Cha

Did a draft of Kobe the drow at 7th. Compared to my own PC at 7th in Doom!, I have no chance against the kid. His AC is ten (10 ) better than my own and he's + 9 to hit versus my own + 6 and he does roughly twice as much damage. Quite a difference 40K in carefully selected magic items can make. I think the critical points are to very carefully weigh which will be your three attuned items. Items which raise your ability scores to 19 are IMHO the biggest bang for the buck since most of the starting stats for the kids are very low relative to what many character classes require.

Also, spending more than half of your 40K GP budget on a single weapon of +3 is not the most economical use of limited funds when a +2 weapon is a sixth of the price. If we have to fight our own kids again, the odds will be stacked very much against us.

Kid adventures will be on a bit of a hiatus.
Next adventure will be back to the adults.
