Stargate...

I sent a message to Brad to see if he might be interested in re-joining the Stargate campaign if I moved it online.

I'd like to get him evolved if possible.

So if he agrees I'll cancel the session on 5/24 and work on getting things setup for online play.

Brad messaged back that he's interested so I'm going to move the game to online.

He'll probably need someones help with either creating or updating characters for him.
Any takers?

For the online game, we'll need 5-6 players total.

I can attempt to recreate Brad's characters as indicated in the people, Places & Things.

Looks like a Warlock & a Barbarian, but don't know if I can reproduce the color/favor Brad may have intended for them.

Didn't he make his characters on Stu's Character Builder Account?

We could still do it online with him and we can meet live. He can Skype in, and I can use the camera to show him maps and things.

I don't think he has wifi where he lives and am not sure if he'll have the bandwidth for streaming video.

Sounded like he had to go to a library, cafe, or neighbor to get online.

I just talked to Kenji on Facebook video messenger, and it worked pretty well from the beach, which has bad wifi. He said the Cafe he plays in has a better connection, but it closes around 8:30pm our time. if we played on a Saturday during the day it would probably work out better for him. I can even project him on the big TV and give him a video feed of the table.
We could import his characters to iplay4e and he could use that to play maybe, or at least print it out using it.

I'll ask him if he'd prefer online or video conference.

Online is definitely more work, just wanted to give him a chance to play.

He called me to test it out so I assume he would prefer live.

I msg'd him today...

A video/call session is doable, but the place he gets his wifi closes at 9:30 his time (he's an hour ahead).

I don't think we could do it on a Friday night.

I could shoot for a Saturday 6/1 or Sunday (5/26 or 6/2) afternoon session.

Logistically... I thought online would be better since posting turns online is generally slower paced and he'd have time to get his actions in when he can get wifi.

Yes, but it would take us 3 years to finish one adventure.
Yes, a Sat or Sun afternoon would work for me.
If we had to do evening he could still play but just with worse WiFi. We could still play with just audio and post Facebook photos of the map.

Stu, did you know you can export your characters from the Builder, and save them as a file.
Then if you want to work with them again you can import them back in.
You don't have to delete them when you hit your character max within the app.

Created a couple of PCs for Kenji, can someone take a look and get up to speed on them in case they need to help run the PCs during the game (lost call, bad connection...)

For some reason I wasn't able to print to file from the character builder.
It'd be nice if he had a copy of the characters with powers.

Can someone try printing from the character builder? I've tried two PC, but can't get a PC to print to a PDF file.

Could only get it to print to file using OneDrive...

For the next Stargate Game, do we have a mailing address for Kenji? If someone will print his PCs I will go to the trouble to mail him a paper copy.

I have a mailing address, but not worth it for this. Up to the first pound is $20, more or less. And takes 2-4 weeks. Better to Western Union me money and email me something I can get printed myself. ;-)

Last Saturday was fun! Great to see all you guys again! I love paradise, but miss you guys and our games. And has Arthur or Kobe cut their hair once since I left?? Sorry to have had to leave so abruptly.

So weird to see it still Sunny there. All year long here is 12- hour days and Sunsets around 6:30. Evidence against flat Earth theory... Not as good as live, but worked well enough to play again occasionally... I might have a recap done this weekend...
