...anyone have an old printer that still works that they want to sell really cheap? I think during the move, my old printer finally bit the big one.

Printers have always been a strange shopping item for me. It has been my experience that it is usually cheaper to buy a new printer than it is to buy stuff for older printers. The last time I bought a printer it was cheaper for me to buy the exact same printer with black and color ink than it was just to replace the black ink and I needed to replace both.

I didn't find the exact cartridge (cause I didn't try very hard) but some other laser toner cartridges are around were $70 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817106028&cm_re=laser_printer_ink-_-17-106-028-_-Product
If no one you know has a cheap one take a look online and see if you can find a cheap one.

Most newer printers also have WiFi.
Older printers needed a direct connection to a computer (print server) and any computer on the network had to connect to the print server and print through it. If the print server goes down for any reason, then you loose printing capabilities.
With a WiFi printer each computer connects directly to the printer over WiFi. As long as the printer is up you can print.
My current printer is a LexMark, its a nice printer but requires a special app to be loaded on any computer that needs to print. If I were to by a new one I'll probably go with an HP printer.

Yes, I have had to hunt around for an application to get my old LexMark to print on my newest computer. Definitely going with a WiFi printer once I use up all my ink cartridges.

We have a Kodak printer/scanner w/ wifi which work good.
I like the HP photo quality over the Kodak but the replacement ink cost is substantally less.
They say the Kodak pictures aren't supposed to fade due to it's pigment type ink.

I thought Kodak went out of business. Guess not.
Shopping for printers sucks. The hidden back end costs of replacing toner cartriges and planned obsolescence are particularly obnoxious with printers.

Yeah, I'll gladly take it. Jeff did give me his old HP, but I'll take a look at yours and if it's better than Jeff's, I'll use it for my PC and hook the HP up to Kobe's machine. Your timing is good. I think the roller arm on my printer is about to snap any page now; I can see the cracks getting bigger and most pages are coming out with smears on them now.
No rush...just whenever the next game is...
