Anyone else play FFL?

Just curious if anyone else here plays Fantasy Football.

I ended up with a really good team this year.

...nope, never did understand or became even remotely interested in these. Don't dislike them, just don't have more than a very remote interest. Oh, but I really do hope your team wins...there's cash at stake in some of these games I hear...

So far I am 8-1-1 and off to a good start in week 11. I don't have the best team but I do have some good players. My receiving corps is so so and I lost one of my better backs in Cedric Benson but hopefully not for long. We play in a standard format league on NFL.com.

I play in a money league. $70 buy in with 20 teams (two divisions with 10 each).

So far I'm 7-3. Two of my losses where against the worst team in the league, but I have the highest points scored.

My team is:
QB: Romo, Orton
RB: Peterson, C Johnson, R Williams, C Wells
WR/TE: Wayne, Austin, Cotchery, Crabtree, Celek
K: Gostkowski
D: Eagles

I normally have Williams riding the bench, but may have to start thinking of sitting AP or CJ. Or trade an RB for nice receiver.

It does make watching the games a bit more interesting. Instead of rooting for teams you watch individual players. Sometimes you'll have players on two different teams that are playing each other. Then you just want a high scoring game and don't really care which team actually wins.

My draw was against the worst team in our league. Strange how that happens.

QB: Brees and Eli Manning
RB: Ricky Williams, Benson, Snelling (backup to Turner) and Pierre Thomas.
WR: Cotchery, DeSean Jackson, Austin Collie, Robert Meacham, and Crabtree
TE: Antonio Gates
K: Carney
DST: Saints DST

I am just in 3rd by about 20 points from the points leader and in first place in the league for record. So far I have gotten really lucky. When I have played the best teams they have had horrible games. Just last week my opp. had Rothlisberger and I think he got 4 points or something horrible like that.

I put R Williams in this week and have 30 points so far from just him. Definitely a good start as my opp only got 4 from J Stewart.

I made it to the FFL Super Bowl.

Next week will be tough as my players have tougher matchup than his, but you never know...


I ended up picking up Cribbs off of the waiver wire and plugged him in as my WR3. I didn't get any rush/rec points for him, but he had two kick off returns for TDs that put me over the top.... I got really lucky.

Well, I'm fairly certain I am out as Brees and Co. picked a horrible week to struggle.

Its currently 71 to 74 and he has Brandon Jacobs as a running back tomorrow while I have Lawrence Tynes. There is a possibility that I could win but it would be extremely lucky on my end.

A low scoring game with lots of field goals sounds like what you need.

Washington has a pretty good defense which may work in your favor.

Well, Ahmad Bradshaw went off in the first half for 2 TDS and 9 yds or so. It was over for me before the first quarter ended.

Sorry, I was only watching out for Jacobs and thought you won since he didn't put up good numbers and your kicker did.

Yeah if he had Jacobs I would have won. Ah well there is always next year.
