Magic Item usage/value Empty Magic Item usage/value

There are no longer limits on how many daily item usages a PC has. If a PC has five items with daily powers he can now use all five in the first encounter of the day, but then will have to wait for an extended rest to reuse them.

It looks like WotC has also changed the value of items. Items that are "common" sell at 20% (like they have in the past).

"Uncommon" items sell at 50% and "Rare" items sell at 100%.

The Character Builder has this already built in.

When giving out generic items, DMs may also want to note the type of item (common, uncommon, or rare).

    Note:
I believe that PCs are only able to make "uncommon" items unless they go on adventures to acquire the proper componentes to create uncommon or rare items (adventure hooks...).

Did you mean to say "common"?

    Yes, common...

Uncommon and rare are supposed to be distributed by the DM.

Though I think a PC should be able to make low level uncommon items (say level-5 or so). But that'll be up to the DM...

I'd agree that a PC should be able to make uncommon items of Level - 5.

Sounds good. If you want an unusual or rare, be sure to post (as early as possible) & I'll try to work that into the story.

    Note:
Common are usually items with no properties or pretty weak ones.

Uncommon are the items most PCs have.

Rare are usually item sets or powerful items (I'm not sure if artifacts have their own category).

Looks like Ember is only going to get request for 8th level items or lower.

    What about item upgrades?
If you have a +1 Ruin Staff. are the components already there in the staff to upgrade to +2?
Or do you have to adventure for more components? If so, may as well just put the +2 Ruin Staff on the wish list.
