Old Character Builder and Errata

So who is on the New Character Builder. I think only me, Jeff and Trevor are.

There have been many drastic changes to the Character Builder and I think most of you are on the old one. If you want to send me your current file I can throw it in the new builder and send you a copy of it, or tell you what changes have occurred.

Your also missing out on all the new feats, powers and magic items.

I bought a subscription around Christmas time so that I could use the new builder. It has a limit of 20 characters and I didn't want to use up your space since I tend to make lots of characters for testing things out.

How much is it & how do you sign up for the character builder & monster builder?

I paid the $71 for the year.

There is a limit of 20 saved PC's but remember you can always export them and save them on your computer to import later.

Yes, that's for everything... Character Builder, Monster Builder, Compendium, Dragon/Dungeon Magazines, future Virtual Table Top.

when is virtual table top coming out.
will get it for likely then but don't see that I will use it enough before then.
we advance almost every adventure but we adventure about once a month real time.

I recommend, especially for players, to just share an account with each other, at least until the VT comes out.

The Virtual Table doesn't have a release date yet, but from what I've seen it's done, except for a few tweeks. They are constantly sending out new invites, so those who have subscriptions should be getting an invite soon. I'm pretty sure it will be an open Beta (where everyone with a subscription gets access to it) very soon.

Just noticed that there are a lot of feats in the new Character Builder that have been added over the last couple of months that aren't available in the old Character Builder.

One in particular that I think a lot of PCs may want is Implement Focus. It's just like Weapon Focus, but works just for Implement powers giving +1/+2/+3 bonus to damage.

Playing with Embers 11th level build, she has weapon focus staff and the bonus damage seems to be adding to her implement powers when using her staff.

How old is the Character Builder?

When I use my old Character Builder, Weapon Focus no longer works with Implement powers. Weapon Expertise also doesn't work with Implement powers.

I think the last time it was updated was in Aug.

I'm in the process of importing the Buffy-verse PCs into the online Character Builder.

For some reason the CB generates errors when trying to save them. I may have to redo them from scratch.
