Can a farslayer weapon power be used with a charge?

What about with an avenger Oath?

As you swing this weapon through the air, wounds magically appear on enemies beyond your normal reach.

Enhancement: +3 attack rolls and damage rolls

No and no...

A charge takes a Standard action to perform. The ability from the weapon takes a Standard action. You can't combine two standard action powers/abilities into one.

Oath of Enmity states:

When you make a melee attack against the target and the target is the only enemy adjacent to you, you make two attack rolls and use either result.

I guess the weapon power does work if the target is adjacent to you, but that defeats the purpose of the weapon.

True a charge is a standard, but it ends in a melee basic attack.

And this feat wouldn't expand the range of my oath with this weapon either right?

A charge is a standard action in which you can move your speed, then make a Melee Basic attack. The weapon uses a standard action and allows you to make a Melee Basic attack on a creature up to 5 squares away.

Still two separate powers that use a standard action and can't be done at the same time.


The feat works with Ranged Basic Attacks, the weapon lets you use a Melee Basic Attack. I don't think it'll work either...

There are some powers that you can use in place of a MBA during a charge. The power usually specificly call out that they can be used during a charge.

Other powers say that they can be used "as a melee basic attack". These powers are also usable during a charge.
