Geek Chic Game Tables

Note, as of a year ago, the lead time for a Geek Chic table was 11 to 12 months after you placed your 50% deposit down. Current lead time is much better at only 6 to 7 months. If you want a $10,000.00 Sultan gaming table, you're waiting even longer. The Emmisary I want is around $2,250.00.

I am currently awaiting paperwork from Geek Chic to reserve my place in line. Looks like we're playing on the same oval table we've been playing on for at least six more months. They do have Emmisary gaming tables that they use in the showroom and at conventions that get become available for sale as is with the people in the waiting queue getting first crack. I'm not too picky so if a decent demo table becomes available I may just go for that.

Here's a list of all the tables that: the buyer placed an order for and canceled, tables used in conventions and shows, demo tables, tables with minor flaws. There are some really good ones here. I'm watching the FB page for the actual date(s) of the sale in Everett.

If I see a good table, I'll pick one up rather than wait six months.

I have made the final payment today for my custom gaming table. They start work on my order next week and I have a tentative ship date of 10 July 2011. 1 4x6 Cherry Emissary Custom Table. Four players stations (1 on ea short side, 2 on the long side) each with a pull out desk and drawer and under table cup holder. One GM station on the other long side, w desk, drawer and optional fold up screen and under table cup holder. 2.75" dropped play surface made of Caramel Bamboo (matches my floor perfectly). 4x6 Cherry hardwood play surface cover and extra 4x6 Navy Blue Velvet play surface cover for poker. Clear plastic play surface overlay with 1" black lined squares for D&D with optional dry erase surface (we can make notes on the play surface during play). Clear finished protective coating for water, soda, and food protection. Sectioned leaves that attach to the edge of the play area to accomodate players or the GM who require additional space to put computers, papers, books or thier plate of food.

Six matching Cherry wood, low back chairs with extra back support.

Sweet! Who's running the July 10 game?

I'd like to run the first game on the new table. Then I'd like to play a game to see how the player stations feel. Then I just gotta schedule a poker game. Nope, never made it up there despite visiting more than 10 Suppliers for work in the Everett area in the last 60 days. Every time I had at least one co-worker with me so I couldn't just take my own time to swing by Geek Chic's factory. Have some more Supplier visits coming up, I'll try to not take any of my co-workers with me, but makes for a long trip back to the office not being able to drive in the car pool lane.

Here is your finalized form. On it is your estimated Washington State Tax that will be due right around delivery of your Emissary and Chairs.

Congratulations! Your order has been filtering into the shop this month. We anticipate delivery of your Emissary and chairs in July/August. Based on production right now I would say that we are closer to August than July for delivery.

Being in the Manufacturing Queue unfortunately means another short wait as we are gathering and shaping all the pieces that will become your furniture. The good news is that it goes very quickly once I get back into contact with you. I will be getting back into contact with you when your furniture is being assembled, which also means that it is but weeks away from delivery.

You will know that your is being assembled when I start sending you "baby" pictures of him/her as they are being assembled! (We always try to send a few pictures before they meet you in person) Based off of how our Manufacturing Queue is going right now, I would estimate that I will be sending you pictures between late June and July. If you have any questions or would like an update please contact me.

I have a firm delivery date. The delivery truck is scheduled to arrive at my house next Wednesday the 24th in the early afternoon.

My matching chairs are behind schedule and current scheduled for early October.

Well, what did you guys think of the new table?

Loved it, but need a power strip under the table.

I still think you should turn the table the other direction though. It will make room to get around seated people when going to the Fridge or book shelves. The computer drawers add an extra foot to each side of the table, which you probably didn't plan on when you were measuring the space.

Also, the sleeve that was left on the table was occasionally moving if someone was leaning too much on it.
Do they have sticks for moving figures?
