Jeff, sorry I didn't get your message in time, but here's a report...
For the first time in a week (due to heat) Kobe and I went to class on Friday and we practiced for the demo which was that night. Our school was the warm up act for the City of Renton Summer Movie at Liberty Park. The movie was free and wouldn't you know it, there were like hundreds of people there to see Kung Fu Panda.
Our school's demo was 20 minutes or so just before the movie. There were about 7 black belts and 7 other ranks (including Kobe and myself). We all did a 20 move form as a group. Kobe was called up to demonstrate one on one fighting against another student about his size. I was called upon to demonstrate a palm strike through a hand held 1" board. Yeah, I did it, but the Master didn't tell me ahead of time he was going to call me up to do it in front of two hundred + people. Kobe and I were called up and just the two of us demonstrated the 8th hardest form (of the nine basic forms). No troubles.
The highlights of the demo were the head Master doing a spinning hook kick through three boards (held by just one holder) and a simulated attack by a mugger against Mrs Henkel (4th deg Black Belt).
I tried not to look at all the people and just concentrated on what I was doing. It actually was a lot of fun...
