Octavia Starkisk has Lianus Starkist run his first caravan. He hires a wizard (Iggy), a driver Snitt the kobold, a trio of Duergar, and a Dwarf Cleric to guard the shipment. Once in Newport, his cousin Falco and friends Idon, Ebok and Lord Von Strike join the group.  The trip is uneventful and then they are ambushed right when they enter the town. An army of Kobolds, led by a dragonborn, attack the caravan. Iggy is slain at once while Snitt yells out that they are after him. Kobold archers rain down arrows from the rooftops and the dragonborn attacks from the rear. The heroes recover quickly and drive the kobolds back. Idon slices the Kobold champion in two and Ebok drives the wagon full of kobolds over the embankment.  Lord Von Strike hews down the dragonborn leader of the raid.

After cleaning up from the battle, the group heads down to the docks and delivers the fishing nets and collect a bounty for the dragon born.
They go to the Green Door Inn where Lord Von Strike tries to get a date.  The portal opens and three extra planer creatures come through, the party, with some NPCs manage to dispatch them. Lord Von Strike hews down two of the fire serpents himself.  The group then heads into the portal and choose the more lightly defended path. The warlock teleports his allies past the fire elemental and the heroes figure out the key to make the Forge of Brass appear.

There they negotiate with the enemy of the true employer of the sponsoer of the caravan and the heroes hand over the Crimson Coal and gain beautiful works of craftsmanship in return.
