Greetings from Nicaragua!

Hey guys! It’s been a while but miss you guys. How’s Seattle and the campaigns going? New things: I may be there (to visit) sometime in August, so let’s plan a game then. Yay! Also, I have a new neighbor who’ll be getting WiFi, so can soon play online without needing to go the a restaurant. Online campaign? Also, I want to get a game going here. Anyone have premade 5e PCs for beginners? And an offline dice roller?

I’ve ran 5 full campaigns now (Slayerverse, Buffyverse, Dragonborn, Jalalabrad, and Giantlands). What do you like about them I should incorporate into new campaigns? Both for us online, and live with new players?

There are shitloads of premade 5e PC's.  Actually you can get them on the WotC site.

If you have access to a printer you can even print maps and 2d minis.

Since you have a smart phone you should be able to download a dice app to it.  Just search D&D Dice Roller in the app store.

Also, google "D&D 5e Cheat Sheet".  Since you've played previous editions you will probably find those more helpful than using the official WotC rules section.

WotC has a free character builder and other resources here. You can even use your phone to make the character and play using it:

Oh, and when you come up in August, I have a computer for you. Your older one, that I updated to windows 10 and loaded it with all the D&D stuff you would need to play. Going to leave it at Stu's for people to use the character builder there, but when you come back you can take it with you.
It uses a 3 prong plug though, and I think they are mostly 2 prong in Nicaragua, so I'll give you an adapter for that.

@Kenji - yes, I heard from your sister that you may be visiting in August. If you need a place to stay, your old room is available. If you need transportation to/ from the airport, if you will be staying w me, just let me know.

I liked the Buffyverse and Jalalabrad best. I think the blend between using traditional D&D PCs along with a modern day back drop is appealing. Both of these settings had fairly memorable story lines that made sense in that they were easy to understand from start to finish.
