    Thia's turn is to HQ, move close enough to get the +1 from prime shot and then biting volley. I don't think I've used it yet. If I did then use two fanged strike and if that is used then use twin strike.

    I thought you could, but the PHB says you have to have at least 1hp to benefit from regeneration.

    Heal Each Turn: If you have regeneration and at least 1 hit point, you regain a specified number of hit points at the start of your turn. If your current hit point total is 0 or lower, you do not regain hit points through regeneration.

    Limited by Maximum Hit Points: Like most forms of healing, regeneration can’t cause your current hit points to exceed your maximum hit points.

    Not Cumulative: If you gain regeneration from more than one source, only the largest amount of regeneration applies.

    That's what I thought.
    I do have my second wind available that someone can trigger though, and then my regeneration should kick back in.

    Chris, I can heal Ross, you keep shooting.
    If you want, you can do a ready action to shoot after I heal Ross then in case K blows up, Ross will still have some hits.

    At the end of Kaddim's turn he was unconscious and had to roll a Death Save...
    Death Save 3 failed. Kaddim has missed 1 Death Save.

    It looks like I missed Thia's last turn...
    No need to move since you can't get close enough to use Prime Shot since Candelos is 1 square away from him.

    Post #198 was incorrect. After Karavakos' turn in post #197 it was suppose to be Thia's turn. I resolved Thia's attack for last turn in post #213 above.


    Now it's Sonya's turn, then Karavakos turn, then Thia's turn for this round.

    Karavakos' turn:
    Standard: cast Thunderwave catching Candelos, Sonya, and Kaddim
    TW on Kaddim 27 vs Fort hits for 26hp of damage
    TW on Candelos 32 vs Fort hits for 26hp of damage
    TW on Sonya 30 vs fort hits for 26hp of damage

    At the end of Karavakos' turn he fails to contain the energy inside of him...

    The PCs (that are conscious...) see him explode in a blast of radiant energy. Each creature within 10 squares takes 5d6=21hp of radiant damage.

    (Thia can hear a faint echo of laughter after the explosion...)


    After the blast...

    PC current states are:
    Kaddim -28/79hp with 1/11 surges
    Sonya 0/66hp with 3/9 surges
    Miri -18/58hp with 3/9 surges
    Thia 10/65hp with 3/7 surges

    Candelos -66/78hp with 4/14 surges (dead...)


    Thia seems to be the only conscious PC.

    In what order will Thia attempt to stabilize the PCs? The DC to stabilize is 15 and Thia is +9 in Heal.

    I believe each of the unconscious PC have missed one death save already...

    Miri first

    For the second attempt if Kaddim or Sonya has missed their second and the other one hasn't then the one that has failed twice gets the attempt.

    If they both make the next save then I will go Sonya first as she can attempt to stabilize as well.

    she can only stabilize if she becomes conscious. Keep trying to stabilize Miri as she has a raise dead to bring us back if we die.

    Once awake (again), Miri will use all her remaining surges to get as full up as possible, then start on the raise dead ritual for Candelos. done (unless interrupted...)

    Round of the blast (Thia's turn is after Karavakos...)
    Thia notices that the walls in the room are becoming opaque, sunlight can be seen coming through parts of the wall.

    Thia's turn:
    Thia uses a move/Standard action to move next to Miri


    First round after...
    Kaddim's turn:
    At the end of his turn he rolls his Death Save 7 failed (second failed save)

    Sonya's turn:
    At the end of Sonya's turn she rolls a 6 and failed her Death Save.

    Thia's turn:
    Standard: make a heal check on Miri 17 success, Miri is stable
    Move: move toward Sonya and Kaddim



    On the second round...

    Kaddim's turn:
    At the end of his turn he rolls his Death Save 11 success

    Sonya's turn:
    At the end of Sonya's turn she rolls a 10 (success) for her Death Save.


    Thia's turn:
    Standard: make a heal check on Sonya 18 success, Sonya is stable



    On the third round...

    Kaddim's turn:
    At the end of his turn he rolls his Death Save 3 failed, Kaddim has failed his third Death Save.



    By the time Miri and Sonya regain consciousness the walls on this level of the pyramid have totally vanished. While the others are resting Thia can see that the pyramid seems to be in the same location as when the PCs entered it, but it has grown to "normal" size (when it was first encountered it was 6 to 8 inches tall...).

    There seems to be nothing left of Karavakos, searching the level Thia finds a book and two scrolls but she is unable to decipher the writing.


    Does Thia want to do anything else before Miri and Sonya wake up?

    Not all the way done, but yes it has been a while.

    I initially intended this to be done online using MapTools which I think would have sped things up. I was also hoping to have a couple of in-person sessions, but we've been pretty busy with the other campaigns.

    ...When Miri wakes up, we'll see if she can read the two scrolls and the book. Yeah, it's been a long haul; really like playing Sonya, but would make a few different selections of powers / feats if I had it to do over.

    Whats happening to the floor that we are resting on? Is it vanishing like the rest of the pyramid? Can I see the other levels? What is happening to the other prisoners?

    Nothing is happening to the floors, only the walls and cieling are vanishing. It's only been a few seconds so far, it may take a while for the other inhabitants of the pyramid to realize what has happened.



    Once Miri comes to she examines the book and the scrolls.

    The book is a book of rituals that Karavakos created while inside the pyramid. It seems that all of them require you to be in the pyramid and allows you to:
    Create clones of yourself
    Contact individuals outside the pyramid
    Harness the some of the power of the pyramid

    The rituals are useless outside of the pyramid.


    The scrolls are ritual scrolls
    Cameleon's Cloak
    Rope Trick

    Now that Sonya and Miri are awake what do you guys (gals...) want to do? It seems as though the guys didn't fare as well...

    You are at the top of a pyramid on the outside. It is mid-day and you can see several paths down the side of they pyramid. In the distance you can see the ship that brought you to the island.

    Since both the other girls are up & both of the guys are down, Miri will stay put exactly where they are until she can use a surge, then begin on the 'Raise Dead' ritual on Candelos, then Kaddim (unless/while the girls look for a close, but better spot to raise & rest). If they find a secure, inconspicuous place, then we'll quickly relocate & continue with same.

    Agree with Miri. Sonya will suggest that Thia and I look nearby for the most defensible spot and if none look superior to where we are, we'll stay here. If the boat appears close and the path appears safe, we may consider sending one of us (Thia) to make contact while the other (Sonya) stays to guard Miri.

    If we can get to the ship I think that might be a better spot for the raise dead ritual. Does anyone have a bag of holding for the bodies Twisted Evil I just don't want this thing to disappear on us while we are in it.

    There's really no defensible position at the top of the pyramid. Sooner or later you believe the other inhabitants of the pyramid will start making their way up once word gets out.

    Looking down the side of the pyramid you see several ways down and lots of trees near the bottom of the pyramid.

    Raise Dead takes 8 hours to cast during which time Miri won't be able to benefit from an extended rest. You may want to get somewhere where you can rest for a coupld of days...

    Hum, we made a few enemies along the way. Even the allies were kind of forced after defeating them.

    We should get off the pyramid and find a secure area or cave.

    Okay, I like that idea too, if we can easily get to the ship. I think it safe enough to each spend 5 minutes for a heal. Any baddies underneath us will wait at least that long to make sure the coast is clear to come on up.

    5 minute rest (& expend surge), put the boys in Miri's bag of holding, then off to the ship!

    So, are we done & everybody revived and on the safety of the ship, or do we still have more to play out? Do these last 2 encounters put us at 10th when we retire these PCs?

    Do we get a wrap up on Vyrellis, Karavakos, Breeze? (Quinn?)
