Did a Capoeira (Brazilian Dance Martial Arts) seminar with Kobe and Brad and Kevin. After 140 minutes, I'm way more tired than the typical TaeKwonDo workout and muscles I'm not used to using are sore. The attacks are much more circular and way more acrobatic than what I'm used to. A lot of cresent kicks. I kinda like the music...
It was a lot of fun, definately on the edge of my comfort zone. I didn't know what everyone was going to wear, so I had my two extra uniforms in my bag, but as it turned out, martial arts pants and a t-shirt were just fine. There were a few of the Capoeira people that were really impressive, the head instructor did a 540 spinning cresent and a backward 540 spinning heel kick. There was one woman who could execute kicks while standing on her hands and she could drop sideways and down extremely low in like a fraction of a second to evade an attack.
I don't think it was as cardio as TaeKwonDo, and because of the dancing element, there were a lot more women practitioners than what I see in TaeKwonDo. There were also a lot fewer Asians. Brad noticed the abundance of women right away.
