    If he can see the south edge of the square the caster is in then he should have line of site to it.

    Superior Cover: The defender has superior cover if no matter which corner in your space you choose and no matter which square of the target’s space you choose, three or four lines are blocked. If four lines are blocked from every corner, you can’t target the defender.

    Candelos wasn't trying to teleport to the square the caster was in, but the one below her. He was looking down 6 squares of wall to try & teleport around the corner. I think Ken ruled that one right. It's a moot point anyway though, since his attack missed & he was teleported since then anyway...

    I know that he was trying to teleport to the square south of her. If Candelos can see the casters full square then he's able to see the line of the square that borders to her south, right? If he's able to see that line of the square he has line of sight to the square to her south, and can therefore teleport into it. If someone was in the square right around the corner you could still take a shot at them, although it would be at a -5 penalty (superior cover).

    The problem is that Candelos is so far away and against the wall he's trying to look around.

    As a test I went out into the hallway at the office, walked about 30' back from a corner then took a look at what I could see.

    To see the flloor around the corner I had to move several feet away from the wall.

    For simplicity I'm just going to go with what MapTools shows as line of sight. It's pretty close and consistant. I'm sure they'll be other cases where it's right when it should be wrong or wrong when it could be right.

    MM 27 vs Ref hits for 16+2hp of damage. A white light shields the caster. Kaddim can see that the blue knight is the one that shielded her.

    Miri can see a door leading east to the south east. The door has metal spikes around it's frame. It looks like it will be difficult to get through the door. (they've nailed the door shut).

    If I can see spikes, then at least one of them must be on this side? Did they spike it from the otherside, and I can't see spikes, but strongly suspect they've braced the door?

    You don't see anyone else in the room. All of the spikes are from the outside in.

    According to MapTools, if Miri moves 1N there is no line of sight from Miri to the caster.

    MapTools must be determining LOS from the center of the token. Hmm...


    Also, Miri is currently prone. If she were able to take a shot, it would be at -7.

    I thought we just talked about LOS & this was considered 'superior cover'. If she has no LOS, then her standard action will be to stand (which DEFINITELY won't affect Sonya's action).

    Also, shooting from prone shouldn't have a penalty, but melee from prone does and shooting a prone target does (if memory serves me right).

    ..sorry, I'm completely out of heals. You'll have to second wind or if you use an AP, you'll get 9 hits back if you can see and hear me. If I can get next to you, I can attempt a heal check to give you back your surge value (I am trained in heal).
