A sneak peak to the first session of the Hill Giant segment...

... and below you is undoubtedly the Steading of the Hill Giant Chief.  It is a massive four building complex with walls sixteen feet high near the outer perimeter and ceilings peaking more than thirty feet high near the crest lines of the larger buildings.  The entire roof is covered in what appears to be a green thick damp moss.  Judging from the diameter of the logs used in construction, the outer walls must be at least two feet thick and perhaps as much as three feet.  You see no windows of any kind except for those of a fifty foot watch tower in the southeast corner of the largest of the four buildings.  All of the vents and chimneys are quite tall, extending a minimum of fifteen feet above the surrounding roof.  All are in plain view of the watch tower, and all vents and chimneys appear to be protected by built in metal bars.

The smallest building is "L" shaped and in the NW corner of the complex.  All four buildings are gigantic with this smallest building being one hundred feet by one hundred fifty feet.  To the south is a square building twice as large.  To the east of the "L" shaped building is a rectangular building about three times as large as the "L" shaped building and in the southeast corner of the complex is a massive building measuring perhaps three hundred feet by two hundred feet.  There is a court yard, that is roughly in the shape of a cross that divides the four buildings and a number of walls and gates dividing the court yard into smaller sections.  There are covered walkways from the largest building to the buildings to the north and to the west.

From the largest building, a gatehouse opens to the main road and leads away to the northeast.  To the east around the main road, the terrain is slightly rocky but mostly open.  The land to the north has light brush and some crops (.e.g. cabbage, herbs, radishes).  To the west of the complex there is a steep wooded slope with a rocky path, leading toward the complex, but falling short perhaps fifty feet or so.  The path appears to be possibly a dry stream bed.  The land to the south of the complex is grass about two feet high and you observe paths that zigzag through the field as two dozen very large cows graze.  A huge wolf like creature chases any cows that stray from the herd, moving them back toward the group and away from the edges of the valley.  A slight rain is falling...
