If you can get a synopsis this month sometime that would be great. Then the players can start thinking about what character options are available.
When updating monsters I use:
Adventure Tools at
http://ddi.wizards.com/DDiTools.aspx
I customize and export them to *.monster files.
Then I use MasterPlan (not sure if that's the latest..., mine is v11.11.0.10399:

In MasterPlan you
* can create flow charts for a session and click into them for the encounter/skill challenge info.
* Import *.monster files
* Quickly increases/decrease the number and type of each monster
* Manage monster HP (though I just use paper, probably quicker to use the app)
* Easily calculate encounter difficulty

The players should be able to build a optimized party for any situation. Or can they?

Have most of the monsters worked out and the bosses too.
Probably going to wing it instead of using master plan. I'll try and avoid the TPK encounter.
Watch out for those broken wagons in the road.????
