Into the Underdark - Prelude for Dec 4th Adventure

After escaping the lower levels of the Halls of the Fire Giant King, the party returns to Canton which is near Istivin. The city center of Istivin is now mostly engulfed by the black sphere. After making a full, detailed report of all the activities fighting the giants to Lashton (W15) the king's primary advisor on the current crisis and Lashton's aid, Randos (C7), the group takes advantage of a generous offer by the Inn Keeper at Canton of free lodging (for helping with the bullies before the party left to fight the Hill Giants).

In Canton, the group rests, trains, takes advantage of traveling merchants to re-equip and gain information. Although the giant raids have slacked off, there are still frequent raids by lesser humanoids. There is also the huge black sphere. Both of these factors have drawn many adventurers to the region. While the party waits for Lashton to fully examine all the information from the giant lairs, and putting it together with information from other sources, the group shares stories with and meets heroes from other lands. Randos sends word to the group that it will be a week or so until he is able to meet with the party to discuss next steps regarding the sphere.

As a result of making contact with the dancing drow and proving their worth to the god Kord, the adventurers receive knowledge from Kord.

Espirit - Will know the leader of the Myconids (Mushroom people) as soon as he sees them. One time, before the die is rolled, Espirit can apply a +4 to a skill check related to a Myconid.
Pax - Two times, Pax will know a drow priestess of Level 18 or higher on sight as a free action. If Pax makes an attack against that priestess before the end of Pax's current or next turn, whichever comes first, Pax may apply a +4 un-named bonus to hit.
Krizdev - One time, from the memory of a past under dark merchant, Krizdev will recognize the tunnel system he is in and know the direction a named destination is in if it is within one mile or one day's travel, whichever is less.
Mantis - One time, Mantis will know the exact area to strike against a spider or Drider. After hitting a spider or Drider, Mantis may add twenty (20) to the damage roll.
Warlord - One time, the warlord may call forth the power of the god of war, against a group of enemies the warlord can see (only can affect those where LOS is not blocked) the warlord will know which creature in the enemy group is the highest level and what the weakest defense is of two specific creatures of the warlord's choice. This power is a free action and will only function underground. If the warlord makes a ranged attack in the turn this power is used, the warlord may add a +4 holy bonus to hit.
Fighter w Spear - Kord grants the fighter the power to use the shadows of the underdark to increase reach. Once, as a minor action, the fighter can increase the reach of the spear to two squares with a melee attack.
