Okay, I've decided that I am going to go with a Slave Lord's series, roughly based on the Gen Con modules from the early 1980's. There are only going to be two or three more sessions for WAR 2! Wow, did we really do twenty sessions? Two more at 9th, and the Grand Finish at 10th.
I was considering some down time, where the adventurers lose their "edge". PC's currently in WAR 2 could do the Slave Lords but I was thinking of starting off at 7th, and level up one level per adventure until hitting 9th as the original series was written for 3rd level PC's and then advancing higher through the series. At 9th, then I'd go back to the advancing every other adventure.
You could play your WAR 2 character, or you could try a new PC and then have your current WAR 2 character replace the new PC (if you didn't like them) at the 10th Level break. Thought this would be a good way to give people a chance to experiment with a new PC while still letting other players not de-level thier current PC if they didn't want to...
