If a character used an illusion to alter their appearance, would a someone looking at them through a video camera see through the illusion?

Illusion
Powers that deceive the senses or the mind.

If it's deceiving sight, then they probably wouldn't, but deciving the mind and they're not in range probably wouldn't.

Was thinking how useful a Hat of Disguise would be...

Not very if we couldn't get past a security screening.

The hat should work against cameras. Nothing indicates that it's messing with the mind.

Hat of Disguise
Level 10 Uncommon
This chapeau appears as you wish, changing you and your equipment as it transforms.
Head Slot        5,000 gp
Property
While using this item’s power, gain a +5 item bonus to Bluff checks to pass off a disguise.
Power (Illusion) (Standard Action)
You gain the appearance of any humanoid race of the same size category as you. Your clothing and equipment alter appearance to reflect this change. The illusion does not alter sound or texture, so a creature listening to you or touching you might detect the illusion.

If the cameras are only tools that are transmitting an image in real time to a screen where an observer is viewing the image, then I'd say "yes" the hat should clearly work regardless if the viewer's mind or senses are what is being deceived.

Now, if the camera is recording the image onto media and no one is watching in real time, would a guard that viewed the stored image, still be tricked? I'd have to say "yes" as the counter argument is what if the camera in the first example is showing the image real time and at the same time, recording the image to disk. Would it make the least bit of sense for the viewer to see one thing, and then watch the same image 2 minutes later and see something different?
