1 Damage calculator on Sat Mar 05, 2011 10:09 am

I use it quite a bit and thought it may be useful to others. I think I posted it a year or so ago, but didn't see a thread on it.


It comes in handy when you want to see what your damage output will be with certain weapons/feats.

Damage calculator

You plug in your attack bonus, level of opponant, and damage modifiers. It'll calculate your expected damage per round (DPR).

For multi-attackers, people on the forums usually discount damage done to each additional target. This is because it is sometimes difficult to get two or more targets in a burst/blast (DMs usually like to spread the targets out to avoid getting too many bunched up...).

Damage to 2nd target * .5
Damage to 3rd target * .75

I don't always agree with discounting multi-target damage, especially when the targets don't have to be in a small area.

I ran the Buffy-verse PCs through the calculator and got the following:

DPR for Buffy-verse PCs at Level 6

Angelus
Fallen Needle DPR=18.3
Five Storms 1: DPR=16.0
Five Storms 2: DPR=26.0
Five Storms 3: DPR=35.9

Ashe
Virtuous Strike DPR=13.7
Blazing Starfall 1: DPR=14.3
Blazing Starfall 2: DPR=28.6
Blazing Starfall 3: DPR=42.9


Blade (Assuming 1 shroud and no enemy adjacent to the target)
Executioner's Noose DPR=16.35
Leaping Strike DPR=20.48

Ember
Magic Missile DPR=10.0
Scorching Burst 1: DPR=15.73
Scorching Burst 2: DPR=31.45
Scorching Burst 3: DPR=47.18

Telgarth (assuming oath on melee attacks)
Avenging Shackles DPR=10.88
Bond of Pursuit DPR=13.35


Just noticed Telgarth's holy symbol. His token isn't currently use it so his to hit and damage needs to be updated for all implement powers...

Shouldn't Ember MM be 11 dam since both implements should apply.

No damage roll...

Dual Implement Spellcaster
Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Dex 13, any arcane class
Benefit: When you use an arcane attack power and you are wielding a magic implement in each hand, you can add the off-hand implement’s enhancement bonus to damage rolls.

Both of your implements must be usable with this power, and you must be capable of wielding both implements, to gain this benefit.


Magic Missile is auto hit now and there is no damage roll, very few things increase it's damage.
