Hmmm...are we (all the DM's) going to start allowing the players to use Fortune Cards on all adventures? If a player goes out and buys some of these cards, are they permitted to bring thier own deck (specially designed with the cards that best benefit their PC) to games and use them?
Alternately, will the DM control the cards and deal them to the players?
Just thinking aloud. Do we think this feature will add or detract from the game? Noticed that the powers and effects are only for the PC's, making them more powerful relative to the monsters; is that at all a concern?
For those who have not seen these, they are cards with various powers. The player draws a single card at the start of each encounter. You can play the card during the encounter and use the power. At the start of the next encounter, you can keep the card you have or discard the card you have and draw a replacement, or if you played your card, you can draw a new one. You can only have one in your hand at a time and can only play one card per round.
