Current PC Status:
Kaddim 73/79hp with 4/11 surges
Candelos 77/78hp with 6/14 surges
Miri 48/58hp with 4/9 surges
Thia 65/65hp with 3/7 surges
Sonya 66/66hp with 3/9 surges


Which way does the party want to go?

The room you're in has a door leading west. Or you can go back the way you came where you saw a hallway leading south.


What will the PC order be?

Door west is good. Yeah, Defenders in front, followed by the Leader, Striker and Controller. Keep Hvy Shield out rather than Magic Light Shield as I want the extra + 1 to AC and Reflex right now.

As a note, if it looks clear Thia will move to the front to do perception and then back again. Especially for things like doors etc.

The door to the west is not locked and Thia doesn't detect any traps.

The door is very hard to open and when you try to move it starts to make loud creaking noises.

Do you open the door all the way?

But, if we want, Miri has a daily item power that lets her teleport thru a door, so I can see what's over there without the door squeeking, but I can't get back & I'll be by myself...

Candelos and Kaddim open the door and the party hears a very loud creaking sound. Candelos hears footsteps to the west moving away from the party.

...might as well move forward at full speed before the lookout can summon too many reinforcements and they all take up ideal defensive positions.

The formation you have for us looks good to me. Proceed to the corner heading W where the fleeing footsteps can be heard.

Candelos and Sonya will fall behind if each PC moves full speed.

Because of the twists and turns it's not possible to run.

Candelos believes the creature ahead is moving faster than the party.


After a few rounds of chasing, the party gets to an intersection and you can move north or south.





You thing the creature went north.

Which way does the party go?

The party heads to the north...

When Candelos gets to the intersection he sees:
Before you stands a scene that could come only from a fevered dream or a madman's imagination. The stone passage ahead merges with a pale gray material that glistens wetly. It's as though the walls, floor, and ceiling up ahead were made of flesh. A trail of thick, sludgelike violet slime puddles on the floor.

Thia spots a hidden door directly west of her current position.





Current PC initiative order is:

Miri, Candelos, Kaddim, Sonya, Thia


From this point on we'll go by initiative...
