I will second wind if I have it available.
If not I will look into the room until I can see the robed figure that ran in their. Once I see him I will retreat out of the room to get cover from him..

Thia moves adjacent to Sonya (I have you to her west...)

I don't see any PCs with healing potions in the Character Builder.

I do see that the party found 2 healing potions, but a PC was never designated to carry them...

I thought I remember seeing healing potions. Hopefully we will be out of combat soon so we can determine who has them and administer one to Sonya.

I rolled random and Candelos has one healing potion and Sonya has the other.

The party would know who has what so you can spend a round going through her stuff next round and get it if you like.


Since Thia only used a move action she can go through Sonya's stuff and get the potion. I'm not sure what type of action it is to force feed someone a potion. I'm thinking standard...

When Candelos attempted to hit him he teleported 3S so you can't see him unless you're in the corridor where Candelos is heading north/south.

Standard: use Arcana check on the statue.
The statue looks like a crudely fashioned statue of a demon with four arms. It doesn't seem to be magical.

NPC's turn:

Caster:
Candelos sees the caster move south then turn west and move out of sight.


Robed Figure:
The party hears what sounds like a rock slide from inside the large building the robed figure ran into. Candelos sees the robed figure move into the east/west corridor and head west.





Candelos turn, then Kaddim, Thia, and Miri.

Candelos moves adjacent to Sonya and heals her with Lay on Hands. Candelos looses a healing surge and Sonya is healed 16hp.

Current party status:
Sonya 16/66hp with 3/9 surges
Candelos 40/78hp with 9/14 surges
Miri 36/58hp with 3/9 surges
Thia 10/65hp with 0/7 surges
Kaddim 39/79hp with 5/11 surges


What does the party want to do? It looks like the caster and the remaining robed figure have fled.

We'll check out the buildings they came out of for treasure, clues about prison & how to escape/what's in here, non-rubble building's first. After that, rest (as long as we can). The most wounded will just stay by the statue while we check out the rooms.

Sonya will rest 5 min and then use Inspiring Word on herself two times in order to gain the extra hits. If any party member who needs two surges is near, she will use Rousing Words on them to give them the bonus hit points. Then, if she can, she'll rest 5 more minutes to gain back her Inspiring Words and Rousing Words.

Use 2 surges and search the area. If it seems safe we should take an extended rest here. Maybe set up an ambush in case any baddies come calling.

All of the building look unstable. You figure a DC15 strength check is all that is needed to knock down a 5' section of the wall.

Searching the buildings and bodies the party is able to find 6 daggers that look nice. Miri identifies them as +1 daggers.

The inside of the large building looks like a church but is very dirty and strange. At the alter is a strange book that is illegible.



After two short rests...

Current PC status:
Miri 50/58hp with 2/9 surges
Kaddim 79/79hp with 3/11 surges
Sonya 58/66hp with 1/9 surges
Candelos 78/78hp with 7/14 surges
Thia 10/65hp with 0/7 surges


The area does look defensible, but you don't see an escape route

Note: Your last encounter was your second since your last extended rest and you'll have to wait for several hours before you can take another extended rest.

Do you want to try to an extended rest here?

None of the rooms has more than one exit, I don't like getting trapped. The room where we are now is the opposite, we could get attacked from all directions. I think we all have an action point and another use of a daily magic item, right? I suggest we move out of this area, look for the cultist and a better place for an extended rest. Put Thia in a guarded place and have Candelos carry the remaining healing potion.

Or, we could use the terrain here to our advantage. While we're waiting to extended rest, we can try to rig the houses to fall on & damage incoming baddies. Plus, we have the buildings to circle around, we don't have to go in them.

This may be as good as any a place to set up a 2nd level base camp...
