Sonya says we attempt a second short rest and any who wish to use an additional surge can get an extra 2d6 hits. Condition of the party please.

With Kaddim and Thia's agreement, Sonya will use her high diplomacy and tell the demon if he tells us exactly how to destroy Vyrellis and the Orb, if we have to do such, then we will let him go about his way as long as he doesn't attack our allies to the south (e.g. the bandits). I say we go up the stairs when we're rested. (i.e. short rest)

It should be allies to our south which are the bandits, the tree guys, and the water humanoids.

Kaddim 37/73hp with 1/11 surges, 1AP
Candelos 64/72hp with 4/14 surges, 1AP
Miri 54/54hp with 6/9 surges, 1AP
Thia 59/60hp with 4/7 surges, 1AP
Sonya 53/61hp with 1/9 surges, 1AP

Trathkul tells Miri, Kaddim, and Sonya... To destroy the orb you must remove it from the Pyramid without the life force fragments that belong to Vyrellis. Once that is done, the orb can be destroyed like any other magical orb.

After Kaddim, Thia and Sonya let the demon go (assuming that Kaddim and Thia agreed with Sonya), Sonya will recommend to Candelos that he use Lay on Hands to heal Kaddim some more. (This way, Kaddim can still have one of his own surges left that Sonya can activate to get Kaddim back up, should Kaddim go below zero). If one of Candelos' Lay on Hands surges isn't enough, we'll have to decide if Kaddim will use his last surge (w Sonya's help for 2d6 extra) or Candelos will use another Lay on Hands, or Kaddim will just have to go into the next battle low.

During the discussions with the demon and how to destroy the orb, Sonya will make sure Candelos is out of ear shot and that Sonya is not using OhOm.

Thia isn't too happy about letting the demon go. It goes against her nature. She will go along with the group.

So far Vyrellis hasn't steered us wrong and has helped us in battle. She is trying to get out of here just like the rest of us.

Only possibly true. If we're to believe Trathkul, he was lured into the ice room trap with the promise of treasure from V, and she hinted to us a couple times to go after that same unfound treasure. If any of us get stuck in that room w/out cold resistance, we're dead. Also, someone trapped Danna (who used to weild the orb) before we freed her...

I believe the plan is head north, but after a 2nd extended rest using Candelos' lay on hands instead of Sonya's inspiring word, so Kaddim has a surge left 'if' we run into another encounter.

Standard order, what's up the stairs?

Agree with Brad...we should attempt to save Kaddim's last surge in case we run into something...
To get Kaddim closer to max, it would be best is Candelos used Lay On Hands and then we took another 5 minute rest so he has that power for the next battle.

From the current conditions of the party, no one will benefit from an Inspiring Word outside of battle except Kaddim, who really shouldn't use his last surge. Instead of the "standard" order, Sonya suggests that Candelos take point with Thia. Miri and Sonya next and Kaddim in the rear... thoughts?

I don't think so.
Lay-on-hands is a daily power
He doesn't get more for a 5 min rest.


Lay on Hands Paladin Feature.
At-Will (Special) ✦ Divine, Healing
Special: You can use this power a number of times per day
equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1), but only once
per round.
Minor Action Melee touch
Target: One creature
Effect: You spend a healing surge but regain no hit points.
Instead, the target regains hit points as if it had spent a
healing surge. You must have at least one healing surge
remaining to use this power.
