    Move: Use Armathor's Step and teleport directly north of the enemies
    Minor: Promise of Storm (Effect: Until the end of your next turn, you deal 1d8 extra damage when you hit with a thunder attack or a lightning attack.)
    Attack the one between me and Candelos.
    Standard: Booming Blade (It's a Thunder Attack)
    If it's still up I'll use an Action Point Standard and attack it again: Booming Blade
    If it went down I'll attack the other one with Booming Blade.

    Note: Opening a door in an adjacent square is iffy as a minor action especially since the square is occupied...

    Sonya throws her shield:
    Shield 25 vs Ac hits for 13hp


    Hmm, it looks like I have Sonya's ranged attack incorrect in MapTools. It's listed as +13 1d12+6. At +10 she still would have hit. I'll update for future ranged attacks.

    Longbowmen turn...

    The one to the west uses Arrow Storm at Quinn (it's a burst and he's targeting the square south of Quinn)
    Arrow Storm: 27 vs Will hits for 11hp of pychic damage. Quinn is Dazed (save ends).

    The bowmen to the east targets the square west of his companion (hoping he misses him...) Kaddim and Candelos are both in the area.

    Arrow Storm vs Kaddim 19 vs Will hits for 11hp (psychic). Kaddim is Dazed (save ends)

    Arrow Storm vs Humanoid #1 19 vs Will hits. It doesn't look like he took much damage, but he is dazed...

    Arrow Storm vs Candelos 26 vs Will hits for 14hp of psychic damage. Candelos is Dazed (save ends).

    Miri Uses Total Defense and moves north. Candelos would have taken an AoO, but he's currently dazed...

    Humanoid #1 gestures at Kaddim then Humanoid #2 and the bowmen to the east make a basic attak.

    Humanoid #2 scimitar 19 vs Ac miss
    Bowman: Longbow 34 vs Ac (critical) hit for 15hp of damage.

    Humanoid #2 turn, he attacks Kaddim:
    Scimitar 30 vs Ac hits for 10hp. Kaddim is marked and will take damage if he attacks someone else.

    Move Action: Three squares north (no AoO for Candelos as he's dazed), move one square NW, putting me next to the blue highlighted creature.

    Standard Action: Waraxe - Bastion of Defense vs. the enemy to the West. +13 vs. AC for 3d12+6
    If I hit, Quinn, Miri, and Kaddim gain + 1 to all defenses until the end of the encounter.
    Effect - regardless, Quinn, Miri, and Kaddim gain 10 temporary hit points.

    Minor Action: Shake it Off on Kaddim, he gets to make a save at + 5 to the roll.
    Action Point: If I have one, I'll use it:
    Choice A - If Kaddim made his save - Lions Roar - +13 vs AC (same enemy) 2d12+6.
    Effect, even if I miss - Kaddim uses a surge and gains 18+5=23 regular hits back.

    ...well, I'm glad I hit w BoD, but 17 hits of damage on 3d12+6 is really low. That means I rolled 11 on 3d12, an average of 4.
    Also, how do we keep track of the + 1 to all defenses for the party (well, except for Thia who is out of range and Candelos who is not my ally) for the rest of the encounter?

    At least Kaddim and Quinn too aren't bloodied. The temp hits s/b enough to get Quinn above bloodies so he doesn't get enraged. I'll heal him more on my next turn as Kaddim s/b good for now.

    Quinn uses Second Wind and is no longer bloodied.

    Quinn is unable to charge an opponant because the bookcase blocks your path.

    Let me know if you want to save or use the action point.

    If I can't use that I will use "yield ground" to shift 5 squares north.

    Yes, that works well.

    Candelos charges south to attack Thia, but when he gets adjacent to her she yes Weave Through the Fray to avoid his attack and get away from him.

    ...no, I think you're still dazed. I gave Kaddim the extra save until I could heal you more so in case you enrage, you're not at max hits...

    Note: I forgot that the red humanoid has an aura. All enemies within 3 takes 5hp of psychic damage and have -2 Will defense. I've subtracted 5hp for the PC in the area. From now on any PCs in the area take damage at the start of their turns.

    Move: Moves north then west
    Standard: Mindhowl burst 2 catching Miri, Sonya, and Kaddim
    MH vs Miri 26 vs Will hits for 17hp of psychic damage and dazed (save ends)
    MH vs Kaddim 32 vs Will hits for 22hp of psychic damage and dazed (save ends)
    MH vs Sonya 17 vs Will miss

    The red humanoid uses an action point Twisted Evil

    Damn these things hit hard! Kaddim just took 45 hits in 1 round (and has the party's best AC!) I could go down even if full up on hits. ...Can anyone besides Sonya heal?

    I suggest that we concentrate on the yellow since it's the most wounded & we need to start dropping them. Yes, it's also the one adjacent to me! :-)

    I think Red's the toughest & if we drop it's minions, he won't have allies to give extra attacks to...

    Yes, I subtracted 5 from the yellow and blue humanoids.

    At the end of their turns yellow rolled 5 and is still on fire. Blue rolled 15 and is no longer on fire.

    Thia will try to use Disruptive strike on the Red Humanoid's Mindhowl. If it doesn't hit, she will try to Elven Accuracy to make it hit. I will prevent the damage to Kaddim

    I don't think Disruptive strike can be used on a burst attack. I'll post the power in the rules area.

    Note: The attack on Kaddim was a critical, so even with the penalty from Disruptive Strike, it'll still be a hit (that's why Miri took 17 while Kaddim took 22 for an area burst power).


    Also... Thia already used her Immediate action to get away from Candelos.

    I believe so. There's no reason I know of why it wouldn't.

    Healing in Combat

    Even in a heated battle, you can heal. You can heal yourself by using your second wind (see page 291), an ally can use the Heal skill (see page 185) on you, and an ally can use a healing power on you.

    When a power heals you, you don’t have to take an action to spend a healing surge. Even if you’re unconscious, the power uses your healing surge and restores hit points. And some healing powers restore hit points without requiring you to spend a healing surge.

    Move Action: Move to the square just south of Miri - let the blue monster take an AoO on me.

    Standard Action: Brash Assault on the yellow monster - +13 vs AC 1d12+6. If it's still up, it may take an attack on me as a free action with + 2 to hit. If it takes the attack, Miri gets to make a melee basic attack and if she manages to hit, she gets + 5 on damage.

    Does that work if Miri's dazed? If it does, she'll take the attack with her staff and not her sword, since her staff is magical & she still doesn't have a magic longsword.

    Yes, you may take free actions if you are dazed and the basic attack that Sonya grants you is a free action. Okay, waiting for the resolution of Thia's turn. I will not have internet access from Saturday 9:00 AM to Sunday at Noon.

    Assuming Thia doesn't down the yellow monster, my action will stand. If Thia does down the yellow monster, then Sonya will revise her action as follows:

    Minor: Same as before - heal Kaddim
    Move action: Shift 1 to the West, giving Candelos as clear a view as possible of the red monster and getting me out of Candelos' view.
    Standard: Inspiring War Cry on the blue monster + 13 vs AC for 2d12+6
    Effect: even if I miss, Miri gets a save vs. daze. If I do hit the blue monster, my AC goes up by 2 vs. the blue monster due to my armor.
    done...I'll check the boards in the morning before the soccer game.

    Notes: I still have both Inspiring Words left (minor, heals surge + 3d6) and my own second wind. I have no other healing from powers other than that. I can turn myself invisible vs one enemy w eyebite for defense.
    For offense, I only have Hammer and Anvil left (ally makes basic attack as a free action against the same enemy I swing at with a basic attack +13 vs AC 1d12+6). For at will powers I have brash assault and commander's strike. I'll use brash assault if I'm not bloodied and especially if I'm flanking with Quinn or Kaddim, gives the party two attacks vs. the monster's one attack. Ross or Chris would be my first choices to take my turns for me if there's action during the time I'm off line. You guys will be playing D&D most of that time anyway.

    For ranged attacks to hit those archers, I only have the throwing shield and eyebite (does psychic damage). I'd rather knock over the bookshelf they're on.
