All,
I really, really liked writing this adventure. I thought the overall story held together pretty well even though this adventure was quite a bit more channeled than many i run.
I was almost sure that the team was going to take Canal Street so as to use their ranged weapons to their maximum potential. I noted how Vidia did worry about an attack from the rear, but then raced to the front, allowing the two super stealthy powerful attackers to make the last leg of their approach. The Warlord had the right idea to try and block the path towards the group's rear. The attacker's plan was to attack and then retreat, drawing as many of the team to chase them, and then the Terrors would attack from the rear with surprise and slay the Quartermaster. Almost worked.
Raistlin finds out the book he found will give him +3 to all history checks and can be used once a day (Daily Power) to give Raistlin (or other follower of Ioun) a + 4 on a To Hit Roll as a Minor Action - Can only be used during the users turn, and you MUST announce you are using "Ioun's Blessing" before the To Hit dice is rolled.
I also really liked the area set up for the speech, especially the ideas relating to the stage. Ross made quick work of the battle, teleporting Hunter to safety. I really liked writing the General's speech.
Hahaha... yeah, bad teleporting into the lunchroom, but luckily no one was in a monster square so you didn't start prone with a bad guy standing over you, and no one started standing on a table with six soldiers next to you! This was about the best placement you could have had, and two thirds of the soldiers went down before they could act so this battle went very quickly.
Good thinking by Arthur regarding freeing the dog. I allowed for the possibility, but wasn't sure if anyone would actually try it. The 50 hit points that the chain had was a lot less than the near 300 hit points of the dog.
So, what did you all think of the adventure? I'd love your feedback either way.
