..saw it last night. It was pretty good. Saw it in 3D and I don't know how much that really added to the movie. The action was still crisp, even w/o things jumping out at me.

Some parts were a bit slow, but that was okay as I still remembered a lot of that from the books and some of the segments in the movie that weren't in the books was really interesting, stuff the books touched on, but didn't detail out; e.g. who Radagahst the Brown really was, Gandalf's status w regards to other powers in Middle Earth, how Thorin got his name, etc.

The songs were all well done and true to the book IMHO.

Dwarves are bad ass fighters.

Definately worth seeing...
